Not supported. See Post #1 for supported Broadcom device_ids.

OSX/BCM94360CD requires 3 external antennas and a usb2 plug.

The one I ordered from Ebay delivered from asia has four antennas and a usb plug. My current BT adapter is a button usb plug and the range is horrible. This should be an improvement.

Hi guys,

i Am using AW-CE123H Wifi/BT PCI Express Card in Sony Laptop running El-Cap- 10.11.6 .... using main guide ....

Wifi enabled with FakePCIID and BT enabled with BrcmPatchRAM2.kext, handoff, continuity and 5G patches applied via Clover ...

Everything works ok except for one annoying little gremlin that has been bugging me for a while ..

I have AC wifi network .... on bootup wifi will connect to 5G at 867Bps ..... however after sleep/wake or wifi toggle on/off 5G will only connect at 300Bps (sill on AC network)

The only way to get back to full speed is to reboot ...

Its not just my laptop, i have two desktops that also have Aw-CE123H card (same F/W version) and they also behave exactly the same .... my iphone 6S, Sony Xperia Tablet and genuine MAC all connect to AC network with no problems and do not suffer from this issue so i think its not a fault of the router which is Asus RT-AC86U running latest Merlin build ...

https://asuswrt.lostrealm.ca/

I think it could possibly be an issue with the firmware in the broadcom 4352 chipset ...

Card Type: AirPort Extreme  (0x14E4, 0x2123)

  MAC Address: 40:e2:30:12:5e:b3

  Locale: FCC

  Country Code: US

  Wake On Wireless: Supported

  AirDrop: Supported, Channel 149

  Status: Connected

Would appreciate if anyone out there using AW-CE123H with same firmware version is also experiencing this issue ???

Wake for Network Access is disabled in Energy saver.

I did post this issue on the 'other' forum but didn't any further resolving it, so posting here.

Does anyone know how to source later FW and update ? .... not sure if its even possible ?

Cheers

Jay

Update 16-Oct-2016

After searching for what seems like forever i've found a solution to this annoying gremlin here ....

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/312759-fix-macos-sierra-dp1-bcm94532z-wifi/page-3?do=findComment&comment=2262994

Basically for whatever reason the issue seems to be related to the Local and Country code ... The guide in post #1 recommends setting these to FCC & US to enable 5G

However the above posts suggests setting CC to #a (local Unknown ?) and now my 5G WiFi always connects at 867bps even after sleep & wifi toggle.

So Happy .... big thanks to lisai9093 and Ramalama for the solution

Wifi Sys info now looks like this ...

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi,

Just got a Broadcomm 94360CD card and 10.11.6 recognizes the Bluetooth features but I don't see any indication Wifi is working.

Thought this card works OOB?

Thanks.

Edit: Got it working five minutes later by seating the card in the first pci-e mini x1 slot. Guess location matters.

Adding this will work again on 10.12.1 if you had it working in 10.12.0

Oh, wish to try. Can you share IO80211Family.kext and IO80211FamilyV2 from 10.12.1? I cant full reinstall for now, but already replaced the 10.12.1 versions with the 10.12 versions without saving originals )

I had that already for 10.12 GM. For 10.12.1, I need to add those additional 3 patches to work.

I restored the original IO80211Family.kext and applied the 3 patch.. but now i have "No hardware found".

So what can I do to get this card to work?

Mine is this :

Copied kext IO80211Family.kext in SLE and I put 0x43a014E4 in WI-FI in Devices and now the WIFI and BT works great!!

Just a strange things : if I enable AddDTGP and FixAirpot then have KP! But without AddDTGP and FixAirport all works great

The attached is an older kext. Anyone has IO80211Family.kext from 10.12 floating around?

Update v4.1 - 11/5/16 - 10.12.1 WiFi Injection stopped working (1. FakePCIID.kext and 5. Clover/FixAirport), see Post #1 Airport Injection Methods.

I've patched the original kexts (only add the device)

Clover patch: see Post #1/Airport Injection Methods/2. kext edit/Info.plist
