ballistic
Ah, I see. So mine is XT, is that a problem? The Locale is also Unknown, is that linked to country code or a separate issue? That's actually a question for you. Is your wireless working OK? What router are you using that is giving XT as the country code? XT isn't a real code and so that's why locale is unknown I would say. Here's what my real MPBr early 2013 says: and here's what my Hack says (it uses the same BCM4360 as you but device ID is 0x111):

maleorderbride
Let's try this again. I have an ASUS X99 Deluxe motherboard that comes with a combo WiFi+BT BCM4360 (0x14E4, 0x43a0) and BCM20702A3 (0x0b05, 0x180a). The Wifi is recognized natively as Airport Extreme (never mind, it shows as 3rd party after reinstalling 10.10.2, something must have done some edits) and reports AC capabilities, but does not seem to be actually running at 5Ghz with some bandwidth tests I have done. I have WoW and Airdrop with no edits of any kind. The BT is recognized with the BTFirmwareUploader. I have LE support, but do not have Handoff or Instant Hotspot. I have tried a variety of edits in this thread, but nothing seems to be giving me real 5Ghz speeds, nor Handoff/Instant. Attached is an IOreg and System Profiler with all vanilla networking kexts, other than the BT Firmware injection. I am running Clover in 10.10.2. toleda
I have an ASUS X99 Deluxe motherboard that comes with a combo WiFi+BT BCM4360 (0x14E4, 0x8659) and BCM20702A3 (0x0b05, 0x180a). The WiFi/BT card is not branded Apple; causes several issues noted. For BT, use Post #1, BCM94352 BT, BrcmPatchRAM.kext and add the Handoff patches. For WiFi, Extreme label is not expected, verify 5 GHz with System Information/WiFi/Supported Channels > 14.

Thanks Toleda. I now have Handoff/Hotspot with both Clover patches and with the additional BrcmPatchRAM.kext. I was incorrect earlier about the Extreme label. I must have patched something with Clover previously and forgotten about it. Upon re-installing 10.10.2 I no longer have an Extreme label and the hardware ID is now 0x43a0 as it should be. I had also cleared my Clover patches. I do not have any WiFi channels higher than 14, so despite System Profiler reporting "Supported PHY Modes: a/b/g/n/ac," it does not look like I have AC then? I just did a quick bandwidth testing using Blackmagic Disk Speed to a network attached SSD. I am only getting up to 80Mbp/s, so definitely still N despite System Profiler indicating that the connected network is AC.

For 10.10.2 Clover Patches, see Post #1 BCM94352 5 GHz/BT Handoff Patch (10.10 and newer) 3. Installation 2. Clover/kext patch 1. Download (View Raw) 1. 10.10.2 and newer, config-bcm94352-102.plist.zip 2. Paste patch to config.plist/KernelAndKextPatches/KextsToPatch

chummdoggin
If I read right on post 1 the iMac 13,2 should natively support a bcm4331? With no patches needed from here? Or is it a motherboard issue with a z77 gigabyte board? If I run the cat, everything checks out. No patches necessary. The same with a mac pro Ive put the same card and cat on. Handoff won't work for either. Probably would never use it but just haven't figured it out...
toleda
iMac 13,2 should natively support a bcm4331? Yes, if the device_id is 0x4331 and the card is Apple Branded. See Post #1 Problem Reporting; reply with requested files.

oSxFr33k
I searched this thread and found nothing on the DW1510 (BCM94322HM8L). Is it supported OOB without mods in Yosemite? It seems to work ok in my Asus G51JX Sandy Bridge First generation Laptop. Bluetooth not built into that card of course. How does the BCM94352 HMB compare to the DW1510 besides it having built in BT, like bandwidth and OOB support with or without mods? Thanks
chummdoggin
Post #1/BT Handoff (10.10 and newer) Maybe patch script works for MP too, trying it. edit: Didn't work on MP. Will try on the z77. Maybe not working because they are chinese knockoffs?
toleda
Maybe not working because they are chinese knockoffs? Do you see System Information/Bluetooth/ Handoff Supported/Yes Instant Hotspot Supported/Yes If yes, patch is working. Handoff not working, different problem if no, patch did not work. I searched this thread and found nothing on the DW1510 (BCM94322HM8L). Is it supported OOB without mods in Yosemite? How does the BCM94352 HMB compare to DW1510 The 94322 is not mentioned as it does not support Continuity, OS X/WiFi only 4352 includes 802.11ac and BT 4.0 LE;, requires edits to fully support Continuity as noted in Post #1.
oSxFr33k
@toleda, Thanks for clarifying that. Is the 4352 of the three you mention in the OP the better one to go with? They are a bit pricey around $28 or so.
