Rammjet
You must get your DVD drive and your hard drive on the same cable. Set the hard drive to master and the DVD drive to slave using jumpers, not cable select. If you have a laptop, then this is hard to do. So you should investigate using VMWare to install OSX onto your hard drive. Afterwards, you will be able to run OSX natively, without using VMWare. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=11314

LarryM.net
I had the same problem with my friends laptop... but the DVD worked fine in all of my computers. I even downloaded a differnt version and tried it, to get the same error. I have a feeling its not a corrupt image. More along the lines of the HD and the CDrom not on the same channel.
