Thats all. damn, found the problem..... 10.8.5 isn't compatible with my nic anymore BCM57780 14e4:1692 . When I try to load my modified BCM5722D.kext it says "Failed to register interrupt source". Old IONetwork is incompatible also Still have the Apple USB Nic Adapter but this doesn't count as EthernetBuiltin since it has to be PCI Any hints? This its called vanilla install I just checked and it booted to the installer for me. Maybe something went wrong with your boot disk creation? I am sure nothing went wrong. These screenshots are from desktop #1 with USB dongle inserted. My Dell Inspiron 1525 has another built-in bluetooth that works oob. But I have only 10.6.8 there.
