Yes you don't have to ask any permission at all, but instead post something useful, interesting! What does happen now on your setup is FACS-1 For the last: not useful when i see you posting nothing just not less but nothing Excuse me
WinstonAce
FACS-1 is in the original AcpiPatcher, no reason to think it won't happen in a separate EFI driver.

TypeThree
Just wanted to report that I'm facing no issues at all when using ACPIPatcher. ACPIPatcher is in my ROM and ACPIPatcher.plist in the EFI folder. CpuPm is a SSDT that I`m injecting. When I delete it, it disappears.

TypeThree
Maybe it has something to do with High Sierra, I'm using Sierra. All the other SSDTs that I'm using are further down that list but there is no second FACS table. @mosca3 What else is in your ROM?

mathew2005in
Hi I am able to insert apfs.ffs into motherboard BIOS and it gives early logging message on screen while booting, this means apfs file is loading but it does not read APFS formatted drive...or its partitions. is there any idea what may be the reason? I am using Asrock Z97-Anniversary motherboard with i7 4790 CPU and samsung 850EVO SSD. I have also tried by adding apfs.efi into EFI partition and used shell command bcfg add driver, but it seems not loading as I am not seeing any apfs early logging message on boot screen.. Any help appreciated.. Thank you
mathew2005in
is there any ideas or solution? my question is apfs.ffs is loading then it should detect apfs formatted drive right? also why apfs.efi isn't loading from EFI partition using bcfg command?? ammoune78
You should use the APFS.efi that came from your High Sierra HDD: \usr\standalone\i386\APFS.efi Also after each ROM flash and or NVRAM "4 fingers" reset you have to register again that file using bcfg
mathew2005in
Hi Thank you, I have used latest APFS.efi from 10.13.2 combo update but not the one from my installed SSD as I have cloned it, but will that make any difference??. I did register after each flash but still not loading it from EFI
ammoune78
This maybe will happen if Ozmosis already on ROM while doing bcfg, because Ozmosis have to be the last driver loaded. In my case i'm not using at all APFS, HfsPlus will do the job to reach OS X and macOS drives
TypeThree
When you load APFS from EFI using bcfg you will also have to do "connect -r" and "map -u". When APFS is flashed, are you able to boot HS by selecting the boot.efi with the shell? (Not bcfg, just enter boot.efi once you're in the right directory) Also you should try to add a new HS boot entry using bcfg, then do bcfg boot dump and see if the boot entry is there. If yes, restart and execute bcfg boot dump again and see if it's still there.
