THe KiNG
sorry but you did not understand, it does not work with the new theme, OzmosisHorizontalTheme. It works with old theme What it does not work with new theme? New OZ is a match with New Theme. Do not mix those! Use the required files from new BIOS. Plus is X-MASS and I am not in the mood for user(s) mistakes, also is marked as BETA. And if no kind of dumps are provided then next is ignore. blackosx
Just found time to d/l latest bios and extract new ozmosis. AFAICT all is good. I also extracted theme from BIOS and I now see this: It looks great for a beta, and I find keyboard arrow keys work as a selector. Nice. Thanks all dev Merry Christmas everyone.

I also extracted theme from BIOS and I now see this: P.S. F10 takes screenshot while in UI, use with care since BMP's are big(10MB on my display size) and to not fill the ESP space... You will find them on /EFI/OZ/ folder.

djseban
Hey guys, I have a little problem with Ozmosis, rev. 1669. I updated the BIOS successfully, Ozmosis bootloader itself is working, but I can't boot into OS X. When I try to do it, Ozmosis either hangs or boots another available volume (in my case pendrive with Clover or Windows). I already tried multiple options: with additional kexts in EFI/Oz/Darwin/Extensions/Common and DSDT in EFI/Oz/ACPI/load, aswell as with this Defaults.plist: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Defaults:1F8E0C02-58A9-4E34-AE22-2B63745FA101</key> <dict> <key>AAPL,ig-platform-id</key> <integer>68321414</integer> <key>BootEntryTemplate</key> <string>$label</string> <key>DarwinDiskTemplate</key> <string>$label $platform.$major.$minor</string> <key>DarwinRecoveryDiskTemplate</key> <string>$label $platform.$major.$minor</string> <key>DisableIntelInjection</key> <true/> <key>DisableVoodooHda</key> <true/> <key>TimeOut</key> <integer>5</integer> <key>UserInterface</key> <true/> </dict> <key>Defaults:4D1FDA02-38C7-4A6A-9CC6-4BCCA8B30102</key> <dict> <key>BaseBoardSerial</key> <string>C02140302D5DMT31M</string> <key>BiosDate</key> <string>03/09/13</string> <key>BiosVersion</key> <string>IM142.88Z.0118.B00.1309031249</string> <key>BoardVersion</key> <string>Proto1</string> <key>ChassisAssetTag</key> <string>iMac-Aluminum</string> <key>EnclosureType</key> <integer>13</integer> <key>FirmwareFeatures</key> <integer>2147488791</integer> <key>FirmwareFeaturesMask</key> <integer>3221487415</integer> <key>FirmwareRevision</key> <integer>65546</integer> <key>FirmwareVendor</key> <string>Apple</string> <key>HardwareAddress</key> <string>D8:CB:8A:C4:93:59</string> <key>Manufacturer</key> <string>Apple Inc.</string> <key>ProcessorSerial</key> <string>F5K3474002XFNN21A</string> <key>ProductFamily</key> <string>iMac</string> <key>ProductId</key> <string>Mac-27ADBB7B4CEE8E61</string> <key>ProductName</key> <string>iMac14,2</string> <key>SystemSerial</key> <string>F5KLT0F0F9VM</string> <key>SystemVersion</key> <string>1.0</string> </dict> <key>Defaults:7C436110-AB2A-4BBB-A880-FE41995C9F82</key> <dict> <key>boot-args</key> <string>-v</string> <key>csr-active-config</key> <data> ZwAAAA== </data> </dict> <key>Timestamp</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>Version</key> <string>1.0.1</string> </dict> </plist> I also tried to clear nvram with StartButton+Alt+P+R. What could be the reason of this issue? I thought that maybe I inserted HermitShellX64 wrong - I deleted original ShellX64, since it had the same GUID as HermitShell, and next I inserted HermitShellX64 at the end of volume. alanlcarlos
Problem in OZ167x: GUI not only works with the OzmosisHorizontalTheme, but it works the old theme OzmosisBlackTheme. I did the following tests: Files of Oz1669 with the OzmosisHorizontalTheme, the GUI appears, only the cursor does not appear correctly. Files OZ167x with OzmosisBlackTheme, the GUI work as the OZ1669 Inserted in Rom all OZ167x files that can be seen in the image. uglyJoe
Hm, neither OS X nor Linux couldn't find any filesystem errors. I extracted the filesystem from my current bios and tested it with diff to be sure that I didn't miss something. It's the current version from Z77MXQUOAOS.H2N.OZ1669M.ROM I deleted a USB-Pendrive and used it to restore my EFI partition with: sudo dd if=/dev/disk2s1 of=/dev/disk0s1 If my EFI was damaged, it should be alright now.I didn't placed any kext or other stuff inside the EFI, so no need to mount it from OS X. Now I wait some days and we will see if it happens again. This problem is solved, I think it was user related oz167X fix the TM bug for me, too. Works like a charm now... thanks a lot! djseban
1669 is old, there is a new version, try with that. Tried XMAS rev. and the issue is still happening. Don't know why. Now, I updated BIOS with UBU and MEI with Intel tools... Still blackscreen on boot. Maybe someone with Z97 chipset would be willing to share his/her Defaults.plist? Or maybe I am making some mistake when injecting Ozmosis to my ROM? My best

THe KiNG
... Like I saw in pictures and confirmed by your modified ROM, you did all wrong(or who made the rom)... Dunno who told you to put those outside the nested volume, I think if you look on AOS BIOS is pretty much clear where those belong to be put, and that is inside the nested volume. Anyway, for the first and the last time I made a ROM to show you and anybody else who don't know, how it should be done, including the MMTOOL report before/after so you can compare. To all, before starting reporting "bugs" make sure you do your job proper first, and also do not "decide" by yourself what files are required or not.
