Many thanks for info, but it seems dont work for me

i wrote your command like you type,. the only things on it it's crc of hii.db

I was curious, are you using a mSATA or M.2 SSD as you said both so wasn't sure. If it is indeed M.2 what type is it as there are 2.

Hi pjalm, i use m2 from kingstone, it works OOB  m2 is the new sata drive it seems to be more fast than msata, even the connector is different from msata

Ok so u have the M.2 with B+M notches so its either 2x PCIe or SATA depending on how they made it, most likely SATA.

This is what mine looks like.

Notice the difference in notches. Mine is 4x PCIe at 1170MB/s.

no, but it's possible to patch out the nvram lock if you're able to flash a modified bios

LightServer you mind setting up my ASUS Maximus V Gene with Ozmosis, I tried to follow the guide on the first post but its way to confusing. Would love to know how to patch nvram lock out with a modified BIOS

What do you mean? i had a gaz87n-wifi and nvram runs very well.

Hi,

Z77 bios are affected by nvram not saving if nvramsmi module is in bios.

so for Z77-DS3H last bios working is f10h.

As say LightServer some bios have nvram locked but it's not the same thing, you can unlock with bios tools.

I have a asrock h77M-itx and it seems that nvram works

OFF Topic, can you modify dsdt2bios to handle new dsdt from z97 chipset? it seems that it's' bigger than 50k and cant be extracted from AmiboardInfo.bin

use hex editor to extract the DSDT.

I created a UEFIPatch for ASUS boards, add into to the patches.txt and let it do it's job:

# unlock nvram write-protection for asus main boards
# if nvram write protection is still active remove nvramsmi module
7B8DB049-C7C7-4D3B-809F-926DEE47CCA2 10 P:33c00c20b21f:33c09090b21

for gigabyte boards it's a different method.

anyway I recommend applying this patch manually using coderush's uefitool cause then you can be sure the module checksums are corrected.

open your ROM in uefitool and search for SBSMI, then

uefitool: select PR32+ image, rightclick > extract body to sbsmi.bin > hxd: apply patch=replace pattern > uefitool: rightclick PE32+ image > replace body with patched sbsmi.bin > uefitool: save rom > fpt: flash rom

DO IT ALL AT YOUR OWN RISK. THX!

hi

what do mean with  hxd: apply patch=replace pattern what most replace?

here is the Extracted PES32 image.

thx

truesoldier,

can you upload the full rom please? I don't find the code for lock only with this one module. are you sure nvram write protection is on?

as I mean it on gigabyte it's different code, so this patch won't apply

Friends. I have a problem in time to insert the files. "FFS".

When I inserted them, all is well. But it seems that the "space" ends! Giving error and not allow me to add the rest of the files.

I did everything. Compress the "Coredxe" and replacing it by compressed. Liberated space, leaving more than 1 MB. During that would inserted files, I checked the remaining space, until it gave error and saw that I was "0" space.

Could anyone help me modify my Bios?

These are my files that I want to insert: Arquivos FFS.zip

And here the current Bios on my motherboard (Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H  Revision 1.0): mb_bios_ga-b75m-d3h_f15.exe.zip

This I thank you.

there are several unrequired modules, they don't need to be inserted,

the minimum you need for ozmosis is:

CsmVideoDxe-64.ffs (< 29CF55F8-B675-4F5D-8F2F-B87A3ECFD063)

EmuVariableUefi-64.ffs

enhancedfat.ffs (< replaces the filesystem module)

extfs.ffs (< do you use linux? use grub)

FakeSMCCompress.ffs

FSInject-64.ffs

hermitshell.ffs

hfsplus.ffs

NTFS(clover).ffs

OsxAptioFixDrv-64.ffs (< aptiofix is already active in ozmosis, no need to insert it as a module)

OsxFatBinaryDrv-64.ffs (< same as enhancedfat?)

ozmosis.ffs

ozmosisdefaults.ffs

ozmosistheme.ffs (< big file, not needed)

partitiondxe.ffs (< only reqired for Snow Leopard afaik)
