ammoune78
Ok, when i have the system up and running, my problem start before, at boot time of usb key with OSX installer in In USB key of OS X Installer don't touch anything also don't use Patched AppleHDA.kext, In Bios also no need AppleHDA.ffs, you have to use Patched AppleHDA.kext only here: "OS X HDD/ System/ Library/ Extensions" after Installation fully completed If you don't use patched AplleHDA.kext, you have to delete method DSM from Device HDEF in DSDT And if you know the correct Layout ID of your Audio you can use it in DSDT Device HDEF and NATIVE AppleHDA.kext like i did in GA-EP45-DS3 with Q9650 . Use original smc from ozmosis bios or slice version.
backdash
yes, now it works. Thank you. Now i use original smc from osmosis bios, also had to delete AtherosL1Ethernet.kext But i can't boot into Windows with select Startvolume. truemac
hi guys. could someone please show me how to add this argument on my osmosisdefault.plist? argument: sudo nvram boot-args="nvda_drv=1" hi truesoldier. as you can see i have both windows 8.1 and mavericks 10.9.3 working on different ssd. i have to use f12 boot menu selection to switch from one to another. from mac system preferences i don't see my windows disk (startup volume). i had to install windows by disconnecting all the other ssd otherwise i couldn't start with the installation (error 0x80004005). this using both dvd or usb installation disk of windows 8.1 update1 msdn edition. ps if i use the refind cd rom boot loader i can switch normally from mac to windows. crazy can you make a screenshot from f12 boot menu and enter this in the terminal sudo diskutil list But i can't boot into Windows with select Startvolume. My install of Windows 8 (non UEFI) doesn't show up under select Startvolume. When i try to install via Bootcamp, it restart then starts OSX and show Log of Kernel Panic Use the F12 boot menu. Blame Microsoft for this oversight, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 all suffer from this issue when more than 1 GPT disk is present on system. It cannot handle multiple ESP partitions, although part of the specifications.
xelanaiznac
Blame Microsoft for this oversight, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 all suffer from this issue when more than 1 GPT disk is present on system. It cannot handle multiple ESP partitions, although part of the specifications. ok, so this is the key. no solution for now. it depends on microsoft crazy can you make a screenshot from f12 boot menu and enter this in the terminal sudo diskutil list Use the F12 boot menu. here you are. from windows bootcamp control panel (startup volume) i can see both mac osx disk and windows disk. from mac osx control panel (startup volume) i can see only mac osx disk. i think that the problem is related to microsoft, as someone posted here. there is no way to install windows 8.1 if there is another gpt disk connected. this is the reason why i can install windows (in uefi gpt mode) only if the other gpt disks are disconnected. i tried putting the windows disk on sata0 or on sata1, nothing changed. i tired using dvd install disk, usb install disk, nothing to do. maybe should i first format all the disks, then install windows (with all disks connected) and then install mac osx 10.9.3? Riley Freeman
That looks like the error you get with 10.8+ and vt-d. Either disable vt-d in the BIOS or add dart=0 to the boot flags.

FredWst
OK, destivei VT-D and resolved. But I am unable to change the serial nvram, always gets the old serial. Even editing the ozmosisdefault. You must clear nvram and all OZ nvram var. And Oz will calculate uuid from ozmosisdefault at next boot. Fred
