xpamamadeus
Hello! I try to mod my Bios with Ozmosis. But I have no enough Total free Space, i guess. In Volume 2 is more than enough Space, 1.4 mb free. In Volume 1 around 85 kb an Total free Space just 190 kb, if i try to inject a file thats larger than these 190 kb i get an error "Cannot get Firmware ...." But if the File is smaller than the 190 kb it works fine.... Can i take some of the free Space from Volume 2 to get more Total free Space? My Specs: CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1230-V3 Mainboard: Gigabyte GA-H87-D3H GFX: Nvidia Geforce 250GTS Bootloader: Clover 2K v2330 Thanks a lot for your help hi. This its known problem with new gigabyte bioses and some x68 boards from gigabyte too. i have same problem with Z87M D3H To overcome this problem i deleted legacy all oprom and leave only intel vga one. U can find more modules that can be safe deleted like network oproms and efi drivers . My bios have legacy and efi oprom for atheros lan that this board dont have... I can check your bios to make free space. What version doo u use ?

krack38
Hi, You have to focus on volume 01, because the volume 02 is a part of it, it's already a compressed section. XLR
Has anyone managed to make it work with Bootcamp on the same hard drive? After installing win7 on a separate partition it doesn't allows to select this partition and boot from it, it's not visible in OZ boot prompt and not in F12 for some reason... asstastic
@xpamadeus Can I just extract modules from your z77x-ud5h BIOS and re-inject them into the latest beta BIOS from Gigabyte after trimming unneeded modules or is the process a bit more complicated? Riley Freeman
I got a box of junk for Christmas and in there was a DisplayPort cable, so I tried it out here. The boot screen only displays at a stretched 1280x1024. With DVI (and the CsmVideo module from a Gigabyte BIOS) I get full 1920x1080. Is there any way to get a full resolution bootscreen over DP or is that a limitation of the connection? I don't think there's any benefit to using DP over DVI in my case but am curious about the boot resolution all the same. @asstastic: You're better off extracting them from the HermitCrabs BIOS. It's got a newer version of Ozmosis.
sbg
Open the extracted file in a hex editor. Remove everything from the start up to MZ and zero out the FDFD at the end. I cannot find FDFD in any of the .mod files. What am I missing here?
Riley Freeman
Probably nothing. For me, the first few I tried (NTFS ones IIRC) ended in FDFD. If it's zero-ed out at the end you can leave it alone. The main thing is just deleting everything up to MZ.

snakeman
Just noticed something on my gigabyte boards the extfs driver does not display in the boot loader at all (home key) or (F12)! The asus board that I have, it works fine P8P68V-Pro. I can triple boot just fine. OS X /WIndows7/8.1/Ubuntu 13.10 all in UEFI mode no csm (windows 7 with csm). I never could get it to work on any of my gigabyte boards. Z77-DS3H v1 Z77MX-D3H or B75 board. That for listening to my rant. snakeman

PJALM©
Yes i use USB Flashback and all is fine I just can't write the values i need to my NVRAM to set my SMBIOS or fix my iMsg I'm on chameleon and i can't get FaceTime or iMessage to work I have allways used Chimera not Cahmeleon but its the same. You need to add the FileNVRAM module and use 1.1.2 not the 1.1.3 version.

Riley Freeman
Yes i use USB Flashback and all is fine I just can't write the values i need to my NVRAM to set my SMBIOS or fix my iMsg Thanks for confirming that. I don't know why it doesn't work on my X79. But they're an odd beast at the best of times. Did you add the modules to the .CAP file from Asus or did you work off a backup? I don't think Asus have any intention of fixing this bug. The only options are to find a tool that can write to NVRAM from Windows or for some of the BIOS hacking gurus to figure out a way to unlock NVRAM again. PJALM©
Its not actually a bug but a Win8 requirement for secure boot. X79 is gonna be trouble no mater what you use as OSX has no real x79/c60x support yet. With the new Mac Pro using the c602J maybe we will see better support though soon. Now since the NVRAM is not locked in windows we can write our info that way, I am working on testing it now.
Voodoo90
Hi I have a problem, I changed my SMBios to MacPro 6,1 and now nothing works anymore. On every boot I get the grey circle with the line in it instead of the apple on the white foot screen. After a while it just turns itself off. How can I change my SmBios back oder how can I recover from my Time Machine backup. I'm a bit lost at the moment. Regards
Badeendje
Probably an AppleTyMCEDriver.kext issue due lack of ecc ram, -v will show you. If you're using ozmosis you can change it in the nvram, else smbios.plist.
