rylek90 Posted August 27, 2013 Share Posted August 27, 2013 Hi, I've just succesfully installed Mountain Lion on my Dell Inspiron 15R SE (7520) and encountered some disturbing problems. First of all, USB plug n play just doesn't work, when I boot with stick already plugged it's all fine, in other case OSX just doesn't get it or kernel panic. I've got no sound, sadly it's Conexant CX20672-21Z Audio so I'm not sure if there's kext for this one. The most disturbing fact is system doesn't detect Intel HD 4000 Graphics Card. Oh, almost forget cpu is Intel I5-3210M. Other things, like shutting down are working just fine, altough I haven't managed to test ethernet yet. TheEnthusiast Posted August 27, 2013 Share Posted August 27, 2013 Since you haven't mentioned it, you probably need to patch your DSDT properly. That would solve the issue with Intel HD 4000, although I believe there are other methods of doing so. Your USB sounds like it's USB 3.0, which means you would need the appropriate kext. However, if I remember correctly, I saw a post about a DSDT fix for USB 3.0. Sound, I have no idea. I've never seen that audio codec in a hackintosh before. Regardless, you can try VoodooHDA or if you're feeling adventurous, you can patch AppleHDA for your codec. Ethernet will most likely need a kext to work.
