I have new observations. Sig#1. AMD HD6670 with GOP VBIOS.

1. Set PCIE primary. CSM no. OS set as Windows 8 WHQL.

Boot with LoadVBIOS=true, Inject->ATI=true. BlackScreen after wake.

2. Set IGFX primary. Internal Graphics=Enabled, 32Mb. CSM yes. OS set as Other.

I can't boot with Inject->ATI. I have to set it FALSE else black screen, no signal.

Dual screen, one for Intel, second for ATI.

Good sleep/wake.

Can I get any help for Sierra and a AMD Radeon HD 6470M Series video card? I have been able to getting it to work by freak accident in Mavericks, but no dice in Sierra. Any kexts or Clover edits would be appreciated. I uploaded my config plist here as well. Feel free to edit it or how to edit it to enable it.

I tried opening it in Clover Configurator, and added the values:

Inject EDID: Yes

Fake ID: 0x00000000

FB Config: Elodea

Ports: 05

RefClick: 0

LoadVideoBios: true

Please feel free to double check this. I can also attach an IO registry file if shown how to as well. I can also attach a screen shot of the system profiler if need be.

In my ΩΩΩΩΩΩ The system profiler says: it is a AMD Radeon HD 6470M Series.

The jump from El Capitan to Sierra is noticeable as Apple uses 24 bytes connector patch instead of 16 bytes. Here's a little tool I found which will help you patch your GPU ( just dump your VBios using Darwin Dumper and use the tool to make the patch ): https://github.com/JogleLew/amd-framebuffer-utility

EDIT1: it is my first attempt trying to use an ATI RADEON card, i have not much experience but installing the nvidia (evga)210, (evga)610 and (msi)710 wich works mostly OOB with the last versions of OSX.

i did make one try with inject ATI Yes, an device id for { 0x6759, 0x00000000, CHIP_FAMILY_TURKS, "AMD Radeon HD 6570 Series", kPithecia },

but did no work in my first attempts, now i wish to test it with an ASUS H81M-K UEFI Bios (1150)

i am using the card in a previously installation with Sierra 10.12.5 and an nvidia 210... i replaced the 210 with the AMD testing card... and it entered the osx! it was saying it is a ATI and something (no model) and 3M of GDRam i did not save the screen to this other hackintosh because i've changed the config.plist and i couldn't enter anymore with that osx installation.

the point is that now i know the deviceID: PCI (00|01:00.00) : 1002 675D class=030000 (it is 675D right?) and Model=AMD Radeon HD 7570M Series (ATI/AMD)

Put verde kext in EFI/CLOVER/KEXT/Other Inject ati to the nearest card to yours. verde will help you get the card dfisplaying as for framebuffers for acceleration edit the amd controller 4000 kext in s/l/e more infor on rampagedevs site "amd graphics guide"

I have a Radeon HD 6470, that is actually a 6760m shown in Windows. I want to patch the video card to work in Sierra. Can anyone help? It's a mac only install on a HP Elitebook 8560p so I cannot use any windows apps to access the EFI or HDD.

I have a HP Elitebook 8560p and a Radeon HD M series video card, that mac OSX sees as a ATI Radeon HD 6470m (with only 3mb v ram, and no correct framebuffer or GPu acceleration ((including open CL)). it's a Quad core i7, sandy bridge MB with no intel video card. It's a QMX67M motherboard.

In either Mavericks or Sierra, I would love to get this gpu work. I would prefer Sierra to work. I used a hack app called the HP probook installer a while back that enabled the gpu to work only in Mavericks, but now in Mavericks I get the osxaptiofixdrv error before booting into Mavericks that locks the machine up.

I also have Sierra installed and do not get this error and can boot into Sierra, but without GPU acceleration. The video card did work in Mavericks but now I get the osxaptiofixdrv error message.

If I could either get the full GPU to work in either Sierra or Mavericks, I would really be happy.

I was hoping someone would help me get my Radeon HD 6470m on my HP Elitebook 8560p on Sierra. Or at least Mavericks. I can set the BIOS to legacy or UEFI, and it's a Quad Core i7 Sandy Bridge on a Intel QMX67 motherboard.

I had it working in Mavericks via clover after using the HP ProBook Installer, but I am now locked up at boot with osxaptiofix2drv-error that I can't fix and I can only boot into Mavericks by Chameleon and not Clover. I also have another partition with Sierra installed.

I was able to install Sierra, but the video card works in basic mode without v Ram recognition or acceleration or the right screen resolution.

The radeon did work in Mavericks by help of the HP ProBook Installer app, but not the boot error has blocked me from getting into the Mavericks partition by Clover UEFI boot (but not chameleon). I realize Clover is a better/newer boot method, but if I was able to boot with the graphics card working I would not mind either Chameleon or Clover. In chameleon the GraphicsEnabler=yes gives me a black screen.

I guess if I can move onto Sierra, then we have a deal or at least get the old mavericks partition to boot with the GPU working without freezing at the " osxaptiofix2drv-error ". For some odd reason Windows sees this video card as a HD 7000 series video card??

I need help patching either the 6000 or 7000 controller/kext in Sierra. I also need help with configuring Clover or Chameleon to work, to enable the graphics card, and can upload all the needed files. I cannot upload files on this forum so I am posting the contents of everything below.

The jump from El Capitan to Sierra is noticeable as Apple uses 24 bytes connector patch instead of 16 bytes. Here's a little tool I found which will help you patch your GPU ( just dump your VBios using Darwin Dumper and use the tool to make the patch ): https://github.com/JogleLew/amd-framebuffer-utility

Thanks for helping. How do you tell the AMD frame buffer to communicate with the darwin dump results? I'm needing some steps here to complete this process. I have downloaded but DD & the AMD Utility but I do not know hoe to use them together.

Need help Radeon HD 6470m/6760m

I have a HP Elitebook 8560p. The device id says 6760 (0x67601002). I can't get it to work with GPU acceleration in Sierra. Pasted is a AMD Framebuffer dump. I need help patching the kexts, and my config.plist to enable GPU & openCL in Sierra. IF it also works in Mavericks, I would appreciate help.

I have all the information but am doing something wrong with my ATi/AMD HD video card on my HP Laptop to enable it, so I am posting all the known details. If someone can modify these text files, to make it work, and show us how to, that would be great. I used Darwin Dumper and the AMD FrameBuffer Utility to get all the ROM information from the video card. I can also post the ROM as well in this topic. If I can get help, I will share how we fixed it here.  

I would need to know: how to to patch what kexts, how to modify the config,plist, how to modify the clover bootloader if needed past the plist and what else?

I have all the information but am doing something wrong with my ATi/AMD HD video card on my HP Laptop to enable it, so I am posting all the known details. If someone can modify these text files, to make it work, and show us how to, that would be great. I used Darwin Dumper and the AMD FrameBuffer Utility to get all the ROM information from the video card. I can also post the ROM as well in this topic. If I can get help, I will share how we fixed it here.  

I would need to know: how to to patch what kexts, how to modify the config,plist, how to modify the clover bootloader if needed past the plist and what else?

Spoiler or Code? What code do you need? I can paste the ATI/AMD 6000 kext code, config.plist, and whatever else needed from the EFI. Above is the code from the ROM of the graphics card. Thanks and please clarify what I need to do to get the ATI card to work in Sierra/HP Elitebook 8560p. It's a Radeon only card, and has no Intel GFX controller.
