Rammjet
What brand and model is the ethernet (like Realtek 8189)? An answer I just got done giving someone else: Not until you know what model you have. The solution is different (or nonexistent) depending upon what model you have. It's sort of like saying I have a car and it doesn't run. What's wrong with it? Without specific information, there is no way to know. Go to Windows. Go to Device Manager. Find your ethernet card under Network Devices. Read the model number. Get Properties on the device. Click the Details tab. Get the vendor id and device id (following VEN and DEV). haydio
another easy way to find out brand and model is to go to network connections and under the NICs name (probly Local area connection) there should be the brand name and then the model (to easy copy and paste that double click on the icon and copy whats in the box under "connect using".
