hi same for me...

i tried to remove fakesmc from clover folder but I couldn't boot anymore...

i'm might try with a clean install perhaps there is something dirty from the way I've installed...

personally I don't have all those fixes in clover...

my conf is pretty simple, nothing set :)

I only use the OsxAptioFixDrv-64 and InjectKext set to Automatic.

I do use a ssdt generated with Pike's shellscript.

Compared to the C / P states generated from clover I'm getting a slightly better geekbench with my i7-4770k ... but difference is very tiny

@dcshoes23

are you sure you don't have fakesmc in S/L/E ?

it seems you have a reference to the dsdt.aml in your conf... do you mind to post to have the complete picture?

I am unable to boot the OS X 10.9.2 Installer with Clover. I have tried with Clover r2636 and kext AppleIntelE1000e.kext.

Also edited config.plist to say Yes for InjectKext.

The bootloader shows the OS X Installer disk, but when I start it, it just immediately throws me back to the menu.

Sorry everyone, turns out I do have FameSMC.kext in /System/Library/Extensions (must have came back after Time Machine restore). Though the weird thing is, I was able to boot a new installation without the FameSMC.kext :S

I have an old SSD laying around, I will test from scratch and update my guide accordingly.

thanks for the update! all those try and reboot made me crazy eheheheh

i think I found out my 'sleep' issue as well...

i read around people with Corsair H100i (with corsair link) plugged in an usb mobo port has a similar sleep issue... and I do have that as well..

I'll try to set 'AddClockID' true as soon I'm back home to see if it blocks the awake over usb.

cheers!

So went through my guide myself and confirm that FameSMC.kext is needed (just like it says in every Clover guide )

Also a few other notes (I will update the guide):

- When booting you OS X install for the first time, I believe you need to highlight the "Boot OS X from blahbla" entry in the Clover boot menu, then hit space, and pick "Boot without caches", that way the ethernet network card should work

- No need to boot to the installer after the installer reboots the computer itself

Clover is a no go for me. It doesn't even boot no matter if I set it as first device to boot or use F12.

Verry disappointed. It shows up as generic flash blah in the F12 boot menu. If I install Chameleon

or even Revoboot on this USB stick they both boot just fine.

Make sure that in your BIOS you have the following:

- USB Support: Full Initial

- Boot Mode Selection: UEFI and Legacy

Not sure if this one makes a difference but this is what I have:

- Storage Boot Option: UEFI First

If you still don't see a "UEFI: whatever your USB drive is", then it may be similar to the issue I've seen where the BIOS doesn't seem to find the UEFI on the USB in time, to fix this, all I did was plug in another USB stick. That seems to give it more time to detect the bootable UEFI on the USB, If that still doesn't work, try flipping the USB drives around.

- you can also make a non UEFI Clover USB but I haven't tested that

Did you make sure that it isn't a USB 3.0 port that you have it plugged into?

Did you make sure that it isn't a USB 3.0 port that you have it plugged into?

I first put my sticks in the USB 3.0 ports as I thought I wouldn't make a difference but then I hooked up a front USB 2.0 port on the

front of my case to the USB_f1 header on the MB (which is USB 2.0/1.1 right?) but that doesn't work either. I did notice that in formatting

the USB stick it apparently didn't create an EFI partition???? I formated it GPT hfs. Can you post the output of diskutil list of your USB stick.

Thanks for your continued support in helping to solve this.

Can confirm I have this driver and CsmVideoDxe-64.

I also put AppleIntelE1000e and FakeSMC into the 10.9 folder.

OS X Installer still nowhere near booting. When I start it from clover usb, it just immediately throws me back into the clover menu.

I can however boot my Chameleon installed Mavericks from the USB using Clover.

What version of Clover are you all seeing success with?

Installed on a external usb disk i've got no issues to boot (UEFI) with clover (last one)

AppleIntelE1000e, FakeSMC are in 10.9 folder

sleep, wake, restart, shutdown working

but no internet ?

and new board for me in system saver prefs ?

post-92099-0-40997600-1395308467_thumb.jpg

i can't manage to get audio either in 10.9 or S/L/E folder ?

edit: with AppleIntelE1000e, FakeSMC in S/L/E ethernet and speedsteps are working , it's not exactly what we could expect from vanilla clover install but it's cool

edit: with HDAEnabler1 in S/L/E i get audio back but with very long boot

my clover conf is really much simpler.

almost everything is unchecked..

I only have Automatic in inject Kext under system preferences and smbios conf as iMac 14.2

I use AppleRTC otherwise mobo boot logo stays longer.

I only use OsxAptioFixDrv-64 and I've replaced the VboxHFS-64.efi driver with HFSPlus-64.efi   (  http://clover-wiki.zetam.org/What-is-what#EFI-drivers )

I believe the first one is only to run it from a VM and since it's mav I don't even need slide=0 as boot arg

Keep trying i'm really happy about the speed of this uefi boot!

You can boot with -v in clover.. perhaps it give some ideas.

Just default config with "new way" ??

actually just mod the smbios

please how do you inject audio ?

So i put every needed kexts in S/L/E

everything working (and speedsteps)

no more automatic sleep timing in system saver preferences but new "Power Nap" ?

I am unable to boot the OS X Installer. Even after enabling debug logging, this is all I get from repeatedly booting the installer.

Are you using a USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 port? I noticed that clover didn't want to boot any entries that were plugged in USB 3.0 ports.

OH MY GOD THANK YOU.

I double checked the USB headers on the board, and my front ones were connected to the a USB header. Switch to the one that said USB 2.0 in the manual and it boots. xD

I can now boot the installer, but nothing actually works, haha.

After installation, my whole system is broken, and I can no longer boot the USB key. There is a new also a boot menu entry in the bios boot menu called "Mac OS X", which persists even though I disconnect all my harddrives. A CMOS reset does not fix it. After a BIOS reflash I can boot the USB again, but the install doesn't work.

boot flags for the installer? tried with -x -v ? Intel iGPU must also work, when doing right injection for it, but i think a graphics card that works ootb is always best, checked bios settings? what are your system specs?

Only tried with -v. Can try -x next.

The installer works, but installing OS X from clover boot breaks my computer/BIOS so hard I can't boot anything until I reflash my BIOS xD Never seen anything like it.

I am booting installer without caches.

I am also using FakeSMC and intel network kexts in the clover/kext/10.9 folder.

Hardware is i7 4770k, the GA-z87x-ud3h using Intel graphics. Tried Bios versions F7, F8, F9b

Mind you this is install from Clover. Chameleon based installs works just fine, except for sleep mode and C/P states.

Edit:

Install randomly worked...

Edit2:

Most seem to be working.

Sleep is "working".

Computer goes to sleep, but crashes/shutdown happens 2 seconds after waking, a second after display comes back up.

Edit3:

I am having random shutdowns/reboots happening during normal use.

random freezes / crashes can occur when using z87 based boards with all ram slots populated on Gigabyte boards, i run 4 x 4 gig Kingston 1600 and i have no issues with it, but something to be aware of. What is in your config.plist?
