samlikely
Thanks XP for your great guide and modded BIOS! I have run into a problem with my HDMI audio though and hope that someone might be able to help me out. I'm using the GA-Z77X-UD5H, Intel i5 3570K and the HD4000 integrated graphics. I flashed the modded F14 BIOS without HDAEnablerkext, easily completed a fresh install of Mountain Lion 10.8.5, disabled CPU PLL Overvoltage & CSM Support and booted to the desktop without problems. I then used MaciASL to extract the system DSDT and patched it using PJLAM's All-in-one and HD4000 patches. I placed it in EFI->Quo->ACPI->Load and used ##### 5.5.1 to install the modded AppleHDA.kext and rebooted. Once I rebooted all of my audio options, including HDMI, were present in my system settings. My problem is that when I try to play audio through HDMI to my TV it works for about 1 min and then gets progressively more choppy and distorted. I've tried playing files with VLC, Quicktime and XBMC so I'm confident that the issue isn't the file or the player. I have also tested the cable and TV with the Windows side of my computer and it works perfectly. Also, my audio works fine via the headphone jack and bluetooth. Any idea what could be causing the issue? Is the modded AppleHDA.kext from ##### okay to use is this situation? Cheers and thanks for all of your hard work! Problem solved by using this AppleHDA.kext from toleda, thanks for all of your hard work XP! duc985
With install you mean copy them to the EFI Partition into the folder under QUO. I did copy the Kext there to fix them missing Ethernet adapter. That works fine. I also tried to remove them and rebooted. No Luck Ethernet Adapters gone again. So there must be something else going on. The FFS are embeded into the ROM. Size fits etc. It looks like somehow they do not get loaded or whatever. Thats why i was asking if somebody could try on another motherboard to verify ... I can live with to Kexts on the EFI partiotion, but i would like to understand whats going on. Check console and u will see. ionetworking not loaded becouse some {censored} missing. To solve that i added ionetworking to bios but thats bad becouse this kext change with every os update and i didnt upload that version. Soo its best to just install kexts to system/library/extension like it schould be.

duc985
okay got your point. Makes more sense to have the two networkig Kexts separate from the BIOS. kdp
Will update guide when we Maverick goes final. Now that Mavericks is available for free in the App Store, I wonder if simply downloading it and letting it run just like you would on a regular mac, would work with this clover install? I am currently downloading it this way, and I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't work. Can you?
kdp
for anyone wondering about this last post, and if it's possible, yes, i just did it. just make sure you use the newest fakesmc or load up clover on a usb just in case. no guarantees, but to reiterate, i just upgraded to 10.9 via the app store default method apple provides, no usb install.
