repairmac Posted May 30, 2013 Share Posted May 30, 2013 Hi to everyone, stumbled upon this site when i was looking for a solution to this problem; I have a Imac early 2006 (yes i know its old) it has a damaged video card (nvidia 7600GT) I want to replace the card by a ATI X1600. I found one really cheap but it only has one problem. The card came out of an HP laptop. In order to get it working on my mac i need to flash the firmware (i guess). Can anyone help me with this firmware? Maybe someone who still ones this fantastic iMac, and make a backup copy of the firmware from his x1600 256 Mb video card. I looked everywhere but could not find the firmware.
