instant idiot Posted May 2, 2013 Share Posted May 2, 2013 I like to have several always-open fullscreen windows of iTerm, but the one bit I haven't been able to get working is a keyboard shortcut to switch to them. I'm hoping I can bind them to CRTL+OPTION+F1, F2, etc... In System Prefrences > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts I am allowed to assign shortcuts to all the desktops, but fullscreen windows don't show up there. Any ideas appreciated! The point is to assign the specific application to start in the predefined space/desktop, then use a shortcut to switch to the above space/desktop. Spaces/Desktops are the feature I miss most in Windows Very simple, yet very useful feature, Microsoft doesn't seem to be interested to implement. Now the problem is if I have more than one iTerm window open in more than one desktop and log out (iTerm opens automatically upon login), the windows all cluster around one desktop instead of all going where they're supposed to go (one window per desktop). Speaking of desktops on Windows, in my opinion, the program Dexpot does an excellent job of adding multiple desktops to windows. It has lots of features including switching between desktops with keyboard shortcuts, hot corners, windows assigned to multiple desktops, and on and on . . .
