KJY9 Posted September 28, 2006 Share Posted September 28, 2006 It seems when I set my BIOS back to the defaults it affected my Ethernet, as well as other IDE drives. Now when I boot up my mobo (ASUS AV8 Deluxe) beside the mobo splash screen it gives me an extra 2. 1 of which asks me about RAID. And secod which says it is looking for IDE drives but the BIOS are not installed. Also now windows says I have a floppy drive, when I only have a DVD-RW Drive. Just to add I lack internet on my desktop so I am on a laptop. Go back into your bios and turn off your raid since you're obviously not using it. WilBUR Posted October 11, 2006 Author Share Posted October 11, 2006 Yeah the problem was odd. When I installed OSx86 it some how gave a jolt to my onboard. So I had to unplug my plug from the pc for 5 min then stick it back in. Then it magiclly worked again. But I will turn off RAID because it only makes booting up slower. But I have another probleming being my HeatSink fan blew, so I bought another, only problem being that it does not conncet to the mobo it connects to the PSU. So I am guessing i order the wrong one but I was assured I could use this as a heatshink. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
