HUSABER Posted March 23, 2013 Share Posted March 23, 2013 Hi to all users who have ALC 888 chip There is working AppleHDA for ML 10.8.3 First-this working with DSDT edit only How to use; Step 1-Need to use DSDT.aml on your Extra folder Step 2-Open DSDT.aml with DSDT editor Step 3-If you dont have section HDEF-Patch your DSDT.aml with patch HDEF.txt (included below) Step 4- Find section HDEF and copy/paste ALC888 Device (HDEF).txt (included below) Step 5-Save your DSDT.aml file and copy inside Extra Folder(Compile for error first ) Step 6-Install AppleHDA kext.in S/L/E using KextWizard Step 7-Run terminal and create fresh kextcashe with command: sudo kextcache -v 1 -a i386 -a x86_64 -m /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/Extensions.mkext /System/Library/Extensions Step 8-Reboot Step 9-VOILA your Vanila Audio Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
zbarsky Posted May 1, 2013 Share Posted May 1, 2013 Your guide worked for me, except I needed the applehda.kext from below: http://www.osx86.net...osx_10.8.2.html Motherboard: EP35-DS3L I also had to use some kind of kext tool to fix permissions and rebuild the kernel cache the use the terminal command.
