Front panel conversion assemblies - normally these are £43, €50 or $70. For any order received by Monday midnight these will be available on the first ten orders for: £30, €37 or $48.3. I have 3 x dual 120mm folded aluminium fan supports that will fit at the front of the G5 and bolt to the line of case screws at the bottom/ stick of bolt to the underside of the DVD shelf. Fan spacing on these supports happens to match the fan spacing of popular dual 120mm water coolers (such as the Corsair H100i) so if you want a great way to front mount a cooler then these could be for you. The first three units are available at £15, €18 or $24 plus postage. They have a cut out so they fit nicely around our front panel conversions so this is a great double combination!!!...and finally, if you are thinking about buying one of our popular G5 ATX kits with PSU holder then these are available this weekend only for the same price as the other ATX kits - so £70, €85 or $112 with our standard next generation tray. And you can upgrade to the SSD tray (which takes up to 3 x 2.5" drives and hides them under the motherboard) for just £10, €12 or $16, By a request from a moderator here at IM, I have put together a summary post of product lines and prices as well as details on how to order. ATX Kits1. High versionsThese kits involve cutting the top shelf of your G5 to make the PCI-e slots sit up high in the case. They let keep the original G5 PSU casing at the bottom (if you want) or let you sit a full ATX supply on the floor of the case. As you lose the original location for the hard drive cage you will need to put that somewhere else (many screw it underneath the DVD player)As with the mATX kits these are available in both "original" and "120" versions. The Original has mountings for the standard twin 92mm fans the G5 came with, while the 120 has a single fan mounting for a 120 fan. It will also enable the use of any of the all in one 120 water cooling solutions on the market, such as the H80, H80i, H70, H60 from Corsair or the Antec Kuhler H20 620. Here are some pictures. These kits are available now. Please note these kits contain everything you need to convert the case to ATX format - this means you get our amazing quality full ATX 5mm perspex motherboard tray with mounts tailor made to fit your G5, every screw and a new full ATX IO shield. All ATX kits are priced as follows: £70, €85 or $112. ALL G5 ATX kits are now supplied with the all new aluminium IO shield shown below . This shield has large threaded inserts for securely fastening your PCI-e cards in place and is supplied as standard with a brushed finish. Also the area around the IO opening is slimline so as not to provide any interference with 120 fan shrouds. Please note that the fan grill shown with the 120 version is not included as standard with the kit and as with the mATX kits it is available to buy for £3.50, $5 euros or $7. All aluminium and with extra long threaded inserts to hold your PCI-e cards extra securely. 2. Low versionThese kits do not intrude into the shelf area and so you do not need to cut the top shelf of your G5. You can (as some do) choose to either keep your HD cage on the top shelf or adapt the area to take an ATX power supply. Please note there is no room at the bottom of the case with these kits for you to keep the G5 PSU casing. Not had time to put these in the shop yet, but basically they will be the same cost as the high mounting ones (plus a small charge for the power inlet if wanted - £3, $4, €5 - blank plates without the inlet also will be available).G4 Products. We do backplate, IO and motherboard area conversions for all G4s and the G3.One of the problems with the G4 (which is otherwise easy to mod) is the pillar between the PCI area and the IO area. Our first ever kits were to solve this problem by allowing you to cut the pillar and then trim the metal area with a custom laser cut perspex surround. That coupled with a specially developed micro ATX shield with holes to fit all G3s and G4 - and designed to fit by using the original Apple made rivet holes in the IO surround - give a pain free mod to the back. All new for 2013 brushed aluminium I/O shields made specifically for G4smATX conversion kits for all G4 and G3 models New Quicksilver kits with easy fit- all aluminium IO shield. Our G3/4 kits allow any micro ATX board to be fitted to the backplate and have all ports accessible. There are various options available that you can choose from. For instance, you may opt for alternate commonly available perspex colouring for outer panels or ask for different types of fixation (subject to availability). As standard the kit now comes with an all new all aluminium I/O shield panel with long secure threaded inserts for fixing all your PCI-E card, a grey outer panel and black countersunk m3 socket headed screws. The inner and outer plates are joined together by the M3 fixations which pass through existing rivet holes within the relevant G3/G4 rear plate. Quicksilver IO kit (other G3s/4s similar)These kits allow a neat finish so that even if you are not the most skilled with a drill or a dremel you can achieve great looking results. The position of the I/O cut-out is at the correct placement to allow the PCI slots to be used perfectly. We recommend that this kit be used together with kit 2 which provides everything to ensure that new motherboard standoffs are secured in exactly the right postion for a troublefree conversion to PC parts. While a further option is a totally new rear plate for the right hand side that allows you to easily fit a larger variety of power supplies without having to try and cut up the original Quicksilver plastic panels.Kit 1 for our G3/G4 conversions is basically the shield, laser cut perspex trim for rear face of the door, and all the fixings to attach them to the door and convert the rear panel so it complies with the mATX format. Contents vary according to G4 model and you can specify whatever colour you want. Basic cost for this kit is: £28, €32 or $42 plus postageKit 2 is a template for cutting the door to take the mATX standoffs, as well as a full set of standoffs for screw attachment to the door panel and to get the motherbpard set in the right place and at the right height for use with the rear IO conversion. This kit costs: £7, €8 or $10.Optional RHS panel is £15, €18 or $23.UK shipping for kit 1 and 2: £6, EU shipping €12, Rest of the world $20. If ordering additional RHS panel then shipping costs are: £8 UK, €15 EU or $30 rest of the world. To order please email info@thelaserhive.comMini ITX conversion kits for all G4 and G3 modelsLatest addition is a special ITX plate for the range which incorporates a 60mm fan opening as well as two PCI-e slots so you can use with a graphics card. The advantage of this plate is that it moves the board down low to give more clearance in the case and give more ventilation possibilities. Also with an ITX board you are less likely to need to do other hardware mod.s to your G4 to make things fit. These kits are available at the same prices as the mATX kits - but we only have 4!!!Additional Info and how to order. We are pleased to be working with G5 Modders now and our G5 kits are showcased on their website as well as ours and we will be working with them to bring extra value to our G5 kits. Please note the laser hive provides a custom service and is a small business. Disadvantages to this is that I do not have huge buying powers, so cost overheads can be high for me. However, the advantages as a small business, run by an enthusiastic modder, is I understand the G5 and am open to any custom ideas you have that I will try to bring in at a cost that is affordable. Plus I am very happy to split kits - if you just want one part, eg a backplate or a ATX shield or a motherboard tray then I can price those individually for you - just ask.OrderingOrdering is at present by email contact with me to:info@thelaserhive.com.As a one man business I prefer email and paypal to any shopping cart as I like to know that the kits I supply will be tailored to the Mac they are going on.Once you are ready to order I wil send you a paypal invoice. Bear in mind that our standard indication from order to dispatch is 2 weeks and then that delivery times are beyond my control - I use the Royal Mail in most cases and delivery is often very quick but dependent on customs checks and your own domestic postal services (which take over once the parcel arrives in your country) can take a few weeks. Of course, if you don't mind paying a little extra for a courier then that is a possibility too. Finally, please take some time to look around my website and blog. I can offer far more services than just the ones mentioned here and so if you want something custom, or help with another project then drop me a line. Advice is always free.
