Jaco2k Posted December 17, 2015 Share Posted December 17, 2015 SINCE YOU RESORTED TO SHOUTING, I WILL REPLY LIKEWISE WE BOOT WINDOWS UEFI EVERYDAY USING THE DEFAULT SETTINGS IN THE BIOS, THERE IS NO BUG. If it works for you, does it mean it works for everybody? Love the reasoning... Obviously there is a variable here - it won't solve my problem, but I will make a video of the whole thing just to prove the point that there actually is something wrong. Well, I just did it ! half success ... on windows 2 DVI GFE working + IGPU working but on OS X IGPU is ok and only first GFE DVI is working. DVI 2 is still out of order. Since I am running H3C + 1669, I think there is maybe some thing wrong with 1669 00:000 00:000 Ozmosis 1.03.1669M RELEASE (2015-11-03 22:35:59 VS2013x86) on 2015-12-17 02:19:38 00:000 00:000 Found Firmware UEFI Spec :2.31: 00:000 00:000 Found Firmware Vendor :American Megatrends: 00:000 00:000 Found Firmware Revision :4.653: 07:326 07:326 BootOrder 00 05 01 03 04 07:326 00:000 Found Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz (3A.06.00) Cores 4 Threads 8 07:326 00:000 P-State Coordination Type HW_ALL -> SW_ANY = SW_ANY 07:326 00:000 Bus Ratio 16 - 35 (37) Unlocked 07:326 00:000 Disabling Invalid Flex-Ratio F0000 -> E0000 = E0000 07:326 00:000 TSC Frequency 3503447570 3503MHz 07:326 00:000 CPU Frequency 3503447570 3503MHz 07:326 00:000 FSB Frequency 100098502 100MHz 07:326 00:000 Found 00.01.00.0 Nvidia Graphics Controller [10DE:1184] [1462:2835] rev 161 07:326 00:000 Found 00.00.02.0 Intel Graphics Controller [8086:0162] [0000:0000] rev 9 07:327 00:000 Found 00.6D.00.0 Intel Lan Controller [8086:10F6] [8086:0000] rev 0 94:DE:80:A0:E1:C5 07:327 00:000 Found 00.6F.00.0 Broadcom Wireless Lan Controller [14E4:43A0] [106B:0111] rev 3 00:00:00:00:00:00 07:327 00:000 Found 00.71.00.0 Texas Instruments Firewire Controller [104C:823F] [3412:7856] rev 1 00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00 07:327 00:000 Found 00.00.1F.3 Intel SMBUS Controller [8086:1E22] [8086:7270] rev 4 07:328 00:001 Slot 1 8192MB DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHz "G Skill Intl" "F3-2133C10-8GXM" "00000000" 07:329 00:001 Slot 3 8192MB DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHz "G Skill Intl" "F3-2133C10-8GXM" "00000000" 07:332 00:002 Found 2 GPU Controllers 07:355 00:023 Found Storage PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1F,0x2)/Sata(0x0,0xFFFF,0x0)/HD(1,GPT,6EFE1E66-6CD0-4B31-A5DC-677D24ABAA2A,0x28,0x64000) 07:357 00:002 Found Defaults \Efi\Oz\Defaults.plist 07:360 00:003 Validated Boot0000 "MacOS" 07:360 00:000 PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1F,0x2)/Sata(0x0,0xFFFF,0x0)/HD(2,GPT,6DE301A5-239C-430C-B5CB-29D5AA51C6D9,0x64028,0x1BD8A540)/\System\Library\CoreServices\boot.efi (0x9A) 07:363 00:002 Validated Boot0005 "Windows Boot Manager" 07:363 00:000 HD(2,GPT,2ED22078-AE1C-428B-B2F1-43A7109F22A5,0x96800,0x32000)/\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\bootmgfw.efi (0x74) 07:363 00:000 Validated Boot0001 "Recovery HD (10.10.3)" 07:363 00:000 PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1F,0x2)/Sata(0x0,0xFFFF,0x0)/HD(3,GPT,5AE3524A-0BCB-4C2A-BC2B-621AE515B481,0x1BDEE568,0x135F20)/\com.apple.recovery.boot\boot.efi (0x92) 07:363 00:000 Validated Boot0003 "Built-In EDK Shell" 07:363 00:000 MemoryMapped(0xB,0x5EC8E004,0x5F390003)/FvFile(C57AD6B7-0515-40A8-9D21-551652854E37) (0x30) 07:363 00:000 Validated Boot0004 "Built-In EDK Shell" 07:363 00:000 MemoryMapped(0xB,0x4C48E004,0x4CB90003)/FvFile(C57AD6B7-0515-40A8-9D21-551652854E37) (0x30) 07:363 00:000 Scanning Bootable Devices... 07:400 00:036 Matched Boot0000 "MacOS" 07:400 00:000 PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1F,0x2)/Sata(0x0,0xFFFF,0x0)/HD(2,GPT,6DE301A5-239C-430C-B5CB-29D5AA51C6D9,0x64028,0x1BD8A540)/\System\Library\CoreServices\boot.efi (0x9A) 07:401 00:001 Matched Boot0001 "Recovery HD (10.10.3)" 07:401 00:000 PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1F,0x2)/Sata(0x0,0xFFFF,0x0)/HD(3,GPT,5AE3524A-0BCB-4C2A-BC2B-621AE515B481,0x1BDEE568,0x135F20)/\com.apple.recovery.boot\boot.efi (0x92) 07:402 00:001 Matched Boot0005 "Windows Boot Manager" 07:402 00:000 HD(2,GPT,2ED22078-AE1C-428B-B2F1-43A7109F22A5,0x96800,0x32000)/\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\bootmgfw.efi (0x74) 07:402 00:000 Completed Bootable Device Scan 07:402 00:000 Matched Boot0004 "Built-In EDK Shell" 07:402 00:000 MemoryMapped(0xB,0x4C48E004,0x4CB90003)/FvFile(C57AD6B7-0515-40A8-9D21-551652854E37) (0x30) 07:403 00:000 BootOrder 00 05 01 03 04 09:694 02:291 StartImage: PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1F,0x2)/Sata(0x0,0xFFFF,0x0)/HD(2,GPT,6DE301A5-239C-430C-B5CB-29D5AA51C6D9,0x64028,0x1BD8A540)/\System\Library\CoreServices\boot.efi 09:694 00:000 Found Current Graphics Mode 2 800 x 600 09:701 00:006 Setting Graphics Mode 9 1680 x 1050 09:704 00:002 Found 1F8E0C02-58A9-4E34-AE22-2B63745FA101:AcpiGeneratorMode 0x45 01000101 Enabled | Darwin | Update Legacy 09:704 00:000 Using AcpiGeneratorMask 0x04 00000100 Darwin 09:704 00:000 Found DMI Anchor 0x000F04C0 v2.7 Table Address 0x000EB4C0 Length 0x0D97 - Success 09:710 00:006 Updated DMI Anchor 0x000F04C0 v2.7 Table Address 0x4B2E0020 Length 0x0E50 - Success 09:710 00:000 Found 7C436110-AB2A-4BBB-A880-FE41995C9F82:boot-args "<null string>" (0) 09:710 00:000 Found LoadedImage->LoadOptions "<null string>" (0) 09:710 00:000 LoadedImage->LoadOptions "slide=0" (16) 09:710 00:000 Found NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 2048MB NVE4 [10DE:1184] SubsystemID [1462:2835] PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0) 09:710 00:000 AddNvidiaGpuDevice: ShadowPramin() FAILED! THe KiNG Posted December 17, 2015 Share Posted December 17, 2015 Obviously there is a variable here - it won't solve my problem, but I will make a video of the whole thing just to prove the point that there actually is something wrong. You said that before and when I looked on your dumps I saw lot of wrong stuff, why should I trust you now you have everything correct? What you need to do is DarwinDumper so developers look at it, make a video and you will be the only one who look at it... Well, I just did it ! half success ... on windows 2 DVI GFE working + IGPU working but on OS X IGPU is ok and only first GFE DVI is working. DVI 2 is still out of order. Since I am running H3C + 1669, I think there is maybe some thing wrong with 1669 Well, just one page back I suggested to InteliMac Pro to disable nVidia injection. O/c he didn't reply since then... Maybe I have better luck with you. Also you forget that graphic cards works with drivers, what driver you use for the GTX 770, default or web, did you tried both? I can just plug back the OSX drive, together with this test install of Windows and get a DarwinDump with the new BIOS Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

THe KiNG Posted December 17, 2015 Share Posted December 17, 2015 If it works for you, does it mean it works for everybody? Love the reasoning... You made me lose some hours, erase a hdd and a stick to make a clean install of windows 10. I did it first with F2N that comes with motherboard, then with released 1669M. As expected everything is working good, so whatever you are doing there, you are doing wrong. From my point of view this "issue" is closed, learn how to install proper windows then come back. With F2N (original) everything works well, both creating and booting. There has to be some hidden variable somewhere. When I get home I will plug the OSX drive to get the log from 1669 with the new install of Windows. I will also try a few other windows ISOs, although this one is untouched, so it will be the "purest" Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
IronManJFF Posted December 17, 2015 Share Posted December 17, 2015 I use Rufus to create my sticks, works well for me with F2N, H3C and H2N Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
modbin Posted December 17, 2015 Share Posted December 17, 2015 plugged in a virgin SSD, booted from an official Windows 10 USB installer How virgin was that SSD? If there are leftover files on the ESP from previous Windows installs u have a high chance that the BCD store is {censored}ed up. Also if u mounted the ESP previously in OSX the filesystem maybe {censored}ed up 2. What kind of Fat32 driver u have installed? If not EnhancedFat replace it asap. The original from AMI is just {censored}. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Then boot from USB and on installer erase hdd and create new partitions if you know how, if not let installer do them. Then install. IronManJFF Posted December 17, 2015 Share Posted December 17, 2015 Things that make you go Mmmmmm This only happens to me when running El Capitan, does not do it under Yosemite or Windows (my main OS is still Yosemite) I experience the same behavior whith H3C.1479 and H3A.1669M. When I do a shutdown everything goes normally until the CPU halted message (i have verbose mode on) Under Yosemite CPU halted message -> Power supply cuts the power almost instantly Under El Capitan CPU halted mesage -> There is a clear delay (would say about 20-30 seconds) before power supply cuts the power Any idea where I could look for hints on what is going on ? Ok, so after a fresh Elcapitan install no more fans running at full rpm for GFE but still the glitches for iGPU. Anyway, I can deal with it since it is no connected to any screen. But now, new problem, no sound under Elcapitan. Maybe it's because of SIP ? How can I check that my kext are ok inside my H3C.1669 ? I am starting to tell myself it would be easier to switch the graphic core inside the H2N from H3C. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Jaco2k Posted December 18, 2015 Share Posted December 18, 2015 This is how I did it: 1. Windows1.png 2. Windows2.png 3. Windows3.png 4. Using Rufus to make the stick: rufus.png remove all hdd's but the one where you will install Windows. Then boot from USB and on installer erase hdd and create new partitions if you know how, if not let installer do them. Then install. That is all. Thanks for the reply - the only difference is that I didn't use Rufus - I used the same tool but on the step it proposed to create USB media, well... I let it create the USB media Going to try and create the USB stick using Rufus. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Jaco2k Posted December 18, 2015 Share Posted December 18, 2015 if still does not work I have no other idea. TBH, me neither - It is not like the CPU matters, although it seems we have the same - I guess pretty much everyone does, since it is the fastest supported by this socket. Only other differences are - the graphics card and the amount of memory populating the memory sockets, but I don't think this should matter. With that said, I will try to really exhaust all possibilities and switch memory around and/or also borrow some memory from another system I just built to try and populate all the sockets. I am completely stumped by this - I am pretty sure the USB stick should be fine, since with the BIOS setup to boot UEFI only it picks up on the USB stick and can boot and install from it. I will still, nevertheless, create a USB stick with Rufus to exactly replicate your install method. I am going to also shuffle my memory around from the slots where it is now and see if that changes anything. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
