zerking
I tried replacing the IOPCIFamily and AppleACPIPlatform kexts from my working 10.9.5 to 10.10 but then Yosemite won't boot into desktop anymore even in safe boot That's why I need some enlightenment... and why it seems like nobody has encountered such problem? gils83
HELP! I still can't bypass the white screen bug on my hack 10.10, tried absolutely everything but can only reach desktop in safeboot (-x) can someone enlighten me? (from 10.9.2 and above I did have to roll back the IOPCIFamily kext in order to fix the white screen but I'm pretty sure that 10.9.x kext is useless on 10.10) and stay with your white screen

Kyle F.
Has anyone experienced the missing kernel from the Yosemite 10.10 download from the app store? There is no /S/L/K directory? (There is no "/Kernels/kernel")
Duran Keeley
Has anyone experienced the missing kernel from the Yosemite 10.10 download from the app store? There is no /S/L/K directory? (There is no "/Kernels/kernel") Have you checked in the Essentials.pkg? The original kernel only gets place in /System/Library/Kernels after the OS is installed Otherwise if this is for the installer, you have to create that folder manually, or reference the kernel location in boot.org of chameleon
