Rockett
Airport update worked fine on my Hackintosh.
The Baron
Worked fine for me also, though I prefer to use AppZapper to remove QT and iTunes, then download the packages from Apple to keep on another drive (useful for when I reinstall). The extra apps on the DVD are just useful progs that JaS put there to save you downloading, they are not installed by default. Try them out by all means. Andy. Carpao, You can install these updates because none of them are the ones that are encrypted. Be aware that this should not be the norm. Also, before you update make sure you know your login password because this updates the loginwindows app and you will be required to login on boot up. cache-man
I take it that installing the "Mac OS X Update Combined (Intel) version 10.4.8" would be a bad idea. Am i right? Should I ONLY update the OS with patches like the Jas updates?
LurchMD
Anyone?? I did this and now cannot boot. I just keep getting the Darwin text screen followed by a reboot and then back to the Darwin text screen and on and on ... Not sure if my booting problems are related to the software upgrade ...
