Andy Vandijck
Yes it worked in 10.7.4 but it was the graphics were a bit laggy. And the current diff aplied to 10.7.4 xnu and 10.7.4 system? I was you diff that required the -nooosebit that I applied to the 10.7.4 xnu along with the 32-bit kernel diff on a 10.7.4 system. I am trying to sort the graphics out just now. Maybe a DSDT fix would work?
Mad Marcsen
so, i did a little research and i have an idea. are you really, really sure this is an issue that comes from the opemu or amd specific patches? since lion there are a lot of customers, that are experiencing graphic artifacts on their hardware. yes, apple hardware, not some hackintosh. the problem is a real problem as there are many! people who have this issue. try google for "mountain lion graphic glitches" or something else. you can find videos on youtube and threads like this one. so maybe it's just a fortune that mostly all users here experience those problems. and as i saw that iits has the same problems in lion my opinion on this is tightened. but maybe there is a fix, but i can't try it because i have no windows machine here. in the thread mentioned above look at page 21. scroll down a bit and you see a post by andrew humphreys about changing some clock speed in the gfx bios and reflashig it. maybe someone is willing to test? what do you think guys?

Mad Marcsen
is there a way to change clock speed within osx? i know that in windows the ati driver comes with a nice piece of software, where you can change everything. but that's specific to windows. maybe the nvidia problem is related to cpuid stuff. if someone could get those cards to work with qe/ci there is a chance that the same problems appear. in sl everything worked for me (and for nearly every person who has this problem). they must have changed the graphics system in lion upwards and introduced a software bug, maybe in the opengl stuff, that hasn't been fixed until now. so anyway, if someone knows a way i can change clockspeed under osx let me know. and if someone has windows, please test Edit: Found this tool: http://thomas.perrier.name/index.html Gonna try it now... Deltac0
So, IitzShane... You got 10.7.4 with your kernel working with QE/CI and no graphic glitches? Then upgraded to 10.7.5 and the glitches appeared? Maybe compiling the kernel for 10.7.5 or using the 10.7.4 kexts would help?

Some graphics bugs but nothing that deemed the system unusable. 10.7.5 now only works in safe mode the same as ML. Adding the 10.7.4 Graphics kexts didn't help so going to look into it a bit more. Mad Marcsen
damn, should have read better. for aticcelerator: The Radeon X1600, X1900 and later cards aren't supported yet. zeus also doesn't work. i can't dump my bios here, flashing only. ok, it's late and i'm still sick. tomorrow i'm going to install windows. let's see if this helps... Using the kernel I built from Andy's diff Just thought id add also, I spent all day yesterday going from ML back to Lion and getting 64-bit working, Where 32-bit graphics worked great with QE/CI unfortunately I have the same exact graphic problems that happen with ML(Graphicsenabler=No leads to a loss of signal, only boot in -x safe boot, etc) I was you diff that required the -nooosebit that I applied to the 10.7.4 xnu along with the 32-bit kernel diff on a 10.7.4 system. Mad Marcsen
so... i spend the whole day trying to flash the bios of my 5670. i't was a horrible pain in the ass and in the end the only way it worked was to install windows, radeon bios editor and atiwinflash. from here on it was all relative easy. i tweaked a lot, from setting all clock and memory speed the same to overclocking. but it didn't work. ok, i can't set the frequency they proposed in the forum because my card can do a maximum of 667mhz on the ram, but i don't think thats the problem. so maybe it's something in the kernel? if only the nvidias would work with qe/ci to see if the problem is the same. shouldn't we just open some topic or make a list where everyone can put in his cpu and graphics adapter to see what combinations work? just to narrow down the problem..?!? Thunderbolt
Can one suggest me an AMD 64 bit working kernel for my Phenom 960T for Lion 10.7.4 . I have tried a kernel but that gives me some weird lines on the display and then halts, no keyboard working or anything.
Bronya
Hi to all ! I fix opemu and now stable work 10.7.4 with my mach_kernel_i386 with support 64 bit !!! Fine work QE/CI !!! Soon !
Bitcore
Hi to all ! I fix opemu and now stable work 10.7.4 with my mach_kernel_i386 with support 64 bit !!! Fine work QE/CI !!! Soon ! Bronya
I found one interested ! In picture you see "sse4_2" and work! But without ssse3 ! )))) Please try it is mach_kernel_10.7.4 ! If you need 32 bit , then flag "arch=i386" , -noavxbit or -nossse4bit or nossse3bit or without flags ) MACH_KERNEL_1074_amd_32_64 bit.
pico joe
Hi bronzovka, glad to find you here, i used your kernel for my 10.7.4 (32bit) thanks for that, now let me try your kernel with support 64 bit as soon as possible i'll report here
cecekpawon
Please try it is mach_kernel_10.7.4 ! If you need 32 bit , then flag "arch=i386" , -noavxbit or -nossse4bit or nossse3bit or without flags ) MACH_KERNEL_1074_amd_32_64 bit. instant idiot
I found one interested ! In picture you see "sse4_2" and work! But without ssse3 ! )))) Please try it is mach_kernel_10.7.4 ! I just tested your kernel with the machine in my sig, and it boots right to desktop with no kernel flags at all (except for -v) if I use the unsupported (VESA) onboard ATI GPU; however, with an nVidia GeForce 7600GS, the ordinary thing happens: non-responsive cursor frozen in the top left of a white screen. In safe mode, the 7600GS works just fine apart from a lack of QE/CI. With arch=i386, however, I realize the kernel has 32-bit kernel space, therefore bypassing the graphics issues (Yes, perfectly working QE/CI), but 64-bit user land!1! I also did the "famous" test of Flash in Google Chrome--1080p video on YouTube works flawlessly!
pico joe
Hi Bronzovka, I just tested your kernel, running well in and no graphical problem in 32 bit only with flag arch=i386 but in 64 bit I have a graphical issues.. flicker after loading all process
