Mr. Xtreme
First of all I couldn't have done this without the help of Spakk, Manumental, Bronya, Mieze and others . My build: AMD FX 6300 Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 Motherboard 8GB Ram 1 Ballistix 4 GB 1600 MHZ DDR3 and 2 x 2GB 1066 Ghz other DDR3 Ram EVGA GTX 750 Ti 2GB 02G-P4-3751-KR OS X 10.10.3 Yosemite with Spakk's 1010.3 And a lot of patience Oh and these boot flags "GraphicsEnabler=Yes kext-dev-mode=1 npci=0x3000" (Just set it up I am going to remove the need of -x -x Not needed on OOB installation ). Drivers/Kexts VoodooHDA for Audio (haven't tested audio yet), RTL81111 network kext and generic USB 3.0 kext Usability status unknown: PS2, USB 3.0, HDMI (Onboard and on video card), SPDI/F Audio, iCloud. Messages. What works: Network with Mieze's RTL 8111 Kext, can't test qe/ci cause I'm in safe mode Full QE/CI App Store How to: Use bootflags -x GraphicsEnabler=No npci=0x3000 kext-dev-mode=1 when installing and on the first boot, than install the nvidia web drivers for your os x version and reboot and use those flags than open system prefs and go to nvidia driver options or something and select the web driver and reboot again with all these bootflags; GraphicsEnabler=Yes npci=0x300 kext-dev-mode=1. Install Yosemite as usual but open the log by pressing cmd + L (or windows key + L if your using a non os x keyboard). Once the installation has finished (It probably says installation failed, ignore that) then open terminal and type this; "mkdir /Volumes/NameOfTheHDYouInstalledYosemiteOn/System/Library/Kernels" (without the quotes) and press enter. Then type; cp /System/Library/Kernels/kernel /Volumes/NameOfTheHDYouInstalledYosemiteOn/System/Library/Kernels and reboot and use the same boot args but boot from the drive you installed yosemite on. Notes. I used Chameleon bootloader for this, I will try clover and update this if necessary. I created the drive manually, as in I didn't use something like pandora or u n i b e a s t or createinstallmedia, I used the disk utility method. Bios setting are default unless stated; virtual machine mode ---> Disabled Enabled after installation Set Bios setting to default Sata Mode ----------------> AHCI AMD Turbo Core --------> Disabled Advanced Clock Calibration = All Cores Unleashing mode ====> Disabled Active cores = Manual (3rd and 4th on and value = 0%) Edited January 17, 2016 by XtremeHacker

533online
I'm a total newbie to hackintosh, so take this all with a grain of salt. This is what I've done, and how far I have gotten to this point. Asus ROG Crossblade Ranger AMD A10 7870 APU, R7 integrated graphics on cpu. UEFI bios Bolton 4 chipset Intel i211 integrated nic generic sata DSDD Dvdr+w One 3.5 inch hybrid Seagate ss/hd 1tb drive 7200 rpm One 2.5 seagate 500 gb drive out of old Dell laptop 7200 rpm logitech wireless keyboard and mouse, with logi wifi key plugged into Asus keybot usb 2.0 port in back of mbd. Ultra Mini USB WirelessLan802.11NAdapter - 1T1R (150Mbps) One of those little buttons kinda like bluetooth, bought from monoprice. Cheap, didn't think I'd need it, but after hackintosh build was I wrong. External 2.1 pci speakers UEFI bios setup: In graphics settings, set to IGFX, integrated graphics In boot settings, changed Windows UEFI os to Other os. Everything else standard 1tb seagate partitioned with guid, running Ubuntu partition, 1 ntsf partition running Win 10. several data partitions, keep all essential data on separate partitions from os systems As UEFI will not recognize grub boot manager, switch os via UEFI boot manager Hackintosh Build: DL yosemite-zone10.10.1 iso from hackintoshzone Burn iso image to dsdd 8 gig dvd with Infrarecorder Boot into atapi dvd with yosemite-zone.iso boot dvd f8 at boot up prompt boot: /amd64 npci=0x2000 kext-dev-mode=1 <enter> Trial and error revealed that my wifi button will run on the 55ebf etcetera All_In_One_Realtek_wifi.kext by Deepak, I think. This can be gotten from hackintosh zone, along with a bunch of other essential kexts. The wifi button gives me way better performance than any other wifi device I have at home, whether this is because of the wifi button, the processor, the on board Intel Lan i211, which has no internal wifi, I can't tell. I have gotten no lan kext to work the integrated Intel i211 chip. The wifi is clearly visible in sys info and wifi utility. I have working sound on VooDoohda installed by Yosemite-zone, through front pci connector. Got white noise, until I went into VooDoo setup in system preferences and reset port in upper left corner from hdmi to pci, with second apci driver. Cranked up noise reduction slider way up, it affects the volume so set it where you want. Set sound setup in sys preferences to pci front speaker. Test in Safari on youtube gives working sound with reasonable clarity. Choppy video approaching old dialup days. System info shows graphics through pci, with a whopping 3 megs vram, although I'm using on board Integrated Graphics from the APU with a 2gb frame buffer. Whether web video is choppy because of the limited vram and graphics or the wifi connection is hard to tell. Sys info shows no graphics kext loaded no matter what I try. Although the dvd drive reads like a champ, I haven't tried writing a disk, it will not play a dvd movie. DVD player app says the dvd drive is unsupported. I've tried several graphics kexts, several kernels, several nic kexts and several hdmi kexts, all to no avail, Still get no further than the basic setup described above. Tried ssdt audio and no go. I do get access to App Store, and dled 10.10.5 update, only to freeze after install at the hackintosh logo with no progress bar. I tried Install El Capitan .app from get-into-pc with Macpwn, and clover recognizes the board, lists it with apu, memory, graphics, nic, realtek Alc 1150, along with correct versions and revisions, but will not load el capitan install past Apple logo with no progress bar, no matter what flags I have tried. ##### will not recognize any el capitan install file I try, app or dmg. If anybody has suggestions as to how to get hdmi sound, Realtek ALC1150 chipset, how to get APU graphics to load more than 3 megs vram, or know of an APU Integrated graphics kext, or can show me an updated Yosemite kernel that will give me better functionality on any of these fronts, It would be sincerely appreciated.
maximacs
]Firstly, a HUGE thank you, to all of you, for the work you do. I was given a working Asus A53U AMD C-60 CPU-based laptop with deceased HDD. I fully realize that it’s an upstream challenge to ”tame” it with El Capitan but considered the task well worth the challenge. Indeed, it’s already running reasonably well under El Capitan, courtesy of the most excellent AMD development team. Web data suggests that the common A53U is very similar in specs to the also abundant Acer Aspire One AO722: Processor: AMD Fusion APU C-60 (1 GHz and up to 1.33 GHz, dual core) RAM: 2 GB Graphics chip: AMD Radeon HD 6290 Hard Drive: Seagate ST320LT020 (320 GB) Screen resolution: 1366x768 (etc.) So, as this laptop was gratis, with yet further prospects for the gain column if OS X could be installed, I decided to take the challenge. I did, however, invest in upgrading its RAM to 8GB and its dead HDD to a 240GB SDD. If I can get this AMD machine fully operational, I propose to post a detailed “How-to” on the lines of the most useful recent web posts for OS X El Capitan on the Optiplex 780 and the Elite 8000 desktops. A — What works: Courtesy of Spakk's working kernel (10.11.2-AMD_6 / see notes below), the A53U already boots to El Capitan 10.11.2 under Enoch from an Apple Extended Journaled GUID formatted SSD (i.e. the system disk has an EFI partition but does not currently boot from EFI). In comparison, it runs noticeably better than under Yosemite 10.10.3, tried earlier. It has working Wifi (Apple / Dell Broadcom BCM4322 Card replacing its original Atheros mini card); working Audio / internal speakers and microphone (courtesy of VoodooHDA 2.8.8 installer pkg); working and recognized internal camera; working and recognized internal DVD; working sleep / wake / shutdown; working keyboard and mouse (and trackpad) … (although the trackpad is not recognized by System Preferences frameworks); all three USB 2.0 ports working (but see also notes below). B — Not yet working: “About This Mac” shows the following errors: iMac (Summer 2001) Processor GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Memory only shows half its correct speed (800MHz but should read 1600 MHz) Startup Disk - Unidentified Graphics - Unidentified Serial Number - Unidentified “System Report” shows the following primary errors: Ethernet card is unrecognized (“This computer does not appear to have any PCI Ethernet cards installed”) Graphics / Displays unrecognized (“There was an error while gathering this information”) USB ports are working but are not listed (“No information found”) C — Notes • Found Rampagedev’s AMD_EL_Capitan_Set-up-Files.dmg an extremely useful package. • Had initially tried the 10112R1 AMD kernel but this failed and rebooted during kext loading. • The 10.11.2-AMD_6 kernel worked! (Origin = Spakk's 10.11.2-AMD_6). See this link: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/526-amd-el-capitan-dmg And this general link: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/forum/522-os-x-1011-el-capitan/ Using MaciASL I was able to get an initial DSDT (see attachment 1) from the A53U which (remarkably?) had just two syntax errors flagged by the 5.1 compiler. I was able to patch the first (see edited attachment 2) but the second error has confounded me. So anyone’s kind DSDT-editing help to create a finished and usable DSDT would be most gratefully received. IORegistryExplorer implies that the issue with the Ethernet “card” at PE20 could be fixed by getting it to be properly identified in the DSDT and so to sign it to the en0 slot currently held by the installed Broadcom BCM4322 Card at PE21. But, again, I need and would greatly appreciate assistance. Chameleon Wizard bdmesg confirms that the onboard graphics are ATI Palm AMD Radeon HD 6290 in the ATI Radeon EVERGREEN family (additional info.: “Found ATI card! Device ID:[1002:9807] Subsystem ID:[104C1043] - Radeon [9807:00000000] AMD Radeon HD 6290 Graphics”); also that the onboard Ethernet “card” is Realteck RTL8111/8168 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet [10ec:8168]. D — My questions at this juncture: 1. How to properly activate the AMD Radeon HD 6290 mobility graphics for accelerated / fully functional graphics? 2. How to properly activate the integral Ethernet “card”? 3. Is it possible that one of the several other available AMD kernels might be a better fit for the A53U? 4. Would a fully-edited / working DSDT help fix the above mentioned issues? 5. And / or would edits to specific system kexts help fix some of these issues? 6. Once the fixes have been made, would it be possible to boot using Clover / EFI? latvian88
Had some free time on my hands and i'm back on OSX OS X 10.10.5 (14F1808) - fully up to date CPU: AMD A8-5600K APU Mobo: MSI FM2-A75MA-P33 RAM: 2 x 4GB DDR3 1600 MHz GPU: GigaByte GeForce GTX 750Ti 2GB (GV-N75TD5-GI) Ethernet: Realtek RTL8111/8168B Sound: onboard ALC887 (doesn't work properly) / Manhattan Hi-Speed 3-D USB Sound Adapter (works) Kernel: Bronya_rc3 extra boot flags: npci=0x2000 nvda_drv=1 -f -v EthernetBuiltIn=Yes bootloader: Enoch Kexts i used: FakeSMC (well, that's obligatory), NullCPUPowerManagement (for proper reboot/shutdown), RealtekRTL8111 (i-net). Installed NvidiaWebDriver, because otherwise i couldn't get acceleration and OSX showed 0MB on my card. The Bad... With AppleHDA i was unable to get my onboard sound card to work (VooDooHDA worked, but had crackling sound all the way). I tried some kexts to remove the need for npci=0x2000 flag, but those kexts were too old for Yosemite and only made things worse. I'm seeing a little bit of stuttering when playing back 60fps videos. Nothing serious, but noticable (playback was smoother on my FreeBSD and Linux box). The Good... Everything works pretty much as it should be. Bought that USB sound card for only 7euros and surprisingly it works extremely good - so far i don't see any real difference between USB and onboard sound card. AppStore (don't care for Facetime, iCloud etc. so haven't tested those) works with "EthernetBuiltIn=Yes" flag and a properly generated SMBios.plist file.
