I get people want to be lazy, but I don't like the general tone of implying adequately patched stuff is inferior. You should respect people that have own fine tuned DSDT to use it in macOS but not compatible with Windows. rramon
Could someone please post a precise and understandable step-by-step-guide on what needs to be done to get Clover working with Big Sur? The stuff posted on the last couple of pages isn’t comprehensive at least not for me. Thanks.

May be it will be enough for you to boot BigSur.

mhaeuser
23 minutes ago, Slice said: Is it Osmosis? If you had ever seen the Ozmosis codebase, you'd know the entire control flow was written from scratch. Yes, Ozmosis code is in OC, just like there is code from Clover in there, yet you will agree the two of them are very different. You can trust me on this matter. 24 minutes ago, Slice said: You should respect people that have own fine tuned DSDT to use it in macOS but not compatible with Windows. This is not a point of respect, I do not care how people manage their ACPI patching, it is their choice. However the public consensus of patching ACPI agnostic of which OS is run yields a worse and dirty result is both far away from facts and also is tiring to hear over and over. Independent of the OS matter, a patched DSDT is terrible due to potential changes caused by FW settings, FW version or hardware changes getting overridden by an outdated DSDT. 28 minutes ago, Slice said: Why you don't want to do as N.R.G? tikizondo94
This looks awesome. Are we putting a working OC folder in with our Clover Folder in our EFI? And if so are to try and match our OC folder to our Clover folder? Or do we just use the new r5123 Clover version like normal with the added quirks section? This version successfully loads BigSur and allows install and update. Check new config-sample.plist. It contains default values for Quirks which are the most common settings
D-an-W
Hi folks, just tested r5123 with working Big Sur install and it almost loads but hangs here (Another busy timeout every 60 seconds)... Jief_Machak
Hanging there means no kext injection. Like no SMC. Check your log, you probably put your kext in the wrong folder.
