This quirk has never worked for me on profile hardware with a BCM 4360 WiFI/BT card, bat everything works in OpenCore. I think it can be done in Clover to make it work. I'm sure Slice will fix it when he finds the cause.

@miliuco @MakAsus

The Block has never worked for me too, since it was introduced. In fact, this quick must block original Sonoma kext. This quirk should block the original. In the code file, if I'm not mistaken, Clover injects kexts including the fake IOSkywalkerLegacy (OCLP), two others kexts necessary  and then blocks a kext of the same name (IOSkywalkerLegacy). Also, root-patch for modern wifi can't work!

Slice was informed of this problem several months ago, but he has so much work to do.

@Jief_Machak

Hi

However cankiulascmnfye is right with jief's a9b0654 fix wifi card Broadcom 94360 0x43a014e4 works fine with Sonoma (14.1.2 and 14.2 b4) on Ivy Bridge Laptop and doesn't work with recent commits on that same Ivy Bridge Laptop.

Sonoma 14.2 b4

Can you confirm that BlockSkywalk was enabled and WiFiBCM4360 was working by Clover 5157_bdb7a95 (20231116-22h10) now ?

Because my Hackintosh failed to boot by Clover 5157_bdb7a95 (20231116-22h10) if BlockSkywalk was enabled. But it worked by OC 0.9.4 or higher versions.

We can narrow down the tim frame from BlockSkywalk working to not working to this:

Bildschirmfoto2023-12-07um07_40_45.thumb.png.45671d9c69b53ecc7ff1e250013e94e9.png

So something went wrong between November 16th to 19th.

Could you post the latest completed Clover in which BlockSkywalk worked?

I get an early Kernel Panic in macOS Sonoma on my Desktop if the BlockSkywalk Quirk is enabled.

I have done the following to the Clover config.plist:

disable SIP with csr-active-config set to 0x803

add AMFIPass.kext to folder Other inside the CLOVER kexts directory, which is equivalent to boot-arg amfi=0x80, but sends variable values amfi=0xXX to different applications.

enable block BlockSkywalk Quirk in the config

disable SecureBoot

add patched kexts IOSkywalkFamily + IO80211FamilyLegacy to folder 14 inside the CLOVER kexts directory.

Patched IOSkywalkFamily.kext always causes immediate kernel panic at Apple logo. When IOSkywalkFamily.kext is removed the Mac boots normally. Mac boots fine even if IO80211FamilyLegacy.kext is present.

Patched kexts I downloaded from here: https://github.com/dortania/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/tree/main/payloads/Kexts/Acidanthera

Hi @MakAsus Don't work for me too. Do you use OCLP root-patch Modern Wifi. Block and kexts aren't sufficient to have Broadcom 4360 working, I think.
