Hi @Slice    I would like to ask you if by chance there have been any reports of difficulty installing Sequoia when there is more than one installation on the Hackintosh. For example, I have been able to install with Opecore normally, without problems, but Clover does not recognize more than one installed program and does not complete the installation, unless it is just this one on the entire HD or even on separate HDS (Nvme and SSD Sata ).

I can install now with update Lilu and others kexts. Thanks!!

Now I can compile Clover in Sequoia.

The changes committed.

@Slice please what tools (Xcode beta 16? CLT) to compile Clover on Sequoia ? Are you can get it on beta 2 too?

@Max.1974 I’m booting sequoia beta 2 using clover 5159 release. It works smoothly. The only minor thing was the memory misconfiguration notification keep popping up and I haven’t had the chance to try the restrictedevents kext bootargs to see if it goes away.

Hi my friend, sorry late @jlrycm are you using MacPro7,1 SMBIOS? I preferred use iMacPro1,1 but I know that important make upgrade.

So I think im fix that with Restricted Events and Lilu update kexts or use Lorys87 RE, and im put this arg on Clover:

Hey @Slice

On my Z390 config, I have two hard disk: Sequoia (Clover) and Endeavour (Systemd-Boot-boot). When I try to boot from USB Sequoia (Clover), I've got a kind of Systemd-Boot menu with macOS entries instead of Clover (see below).

If I select this macOS entries: I can't boot Mac (logically) but Clover display only embedded theme ! (I check my theme before 12 AM)

What do you about this behaviour ! Maybe I mistaken somewhere.

Thanks.

Screenshot: for testing as usaul, I try to boot from USB: Clover r5159 commit 259b69 display a non-graphic menu instead of Clover GUI.

EDIT 1: I try with latest commit: same issue, no Clover GUI at startup...

EDIT 2: the separate hard disk boot Endeavour from Systemd-boot. Is it possible : a conflict between Clover bootloader ? Nvram issue... Any ideas !

I may propose that you use BOOTX64.EFI as Clover while Endeavour change it to something else.

Thanks for the warm words.

To use gcc-14 you should run script

./build_gcc14.sh

and then use buildme just by default.

In ventura im run first your command with final "... ./build_gcc14.sh" and then install normally.

After that im run just "cd CloverBootloader ./buildme"

I clean About This hack cache

"cd /Applications/About\ This\ Hack.app

rm -rf ~/.ath"

And then running last commit build 5159 but I don't know if is possible compiled with Sequoia or if will be is different

Thanks!!

What you say, make sens. Thanks.

Exactly what I think about BOOTX64 (Clover/Endeavour). But I try to boot from Clover USB drive when the issue is arriving. How to block Endeavour BOOTX64 ?

To resume,  I have two HDD: Sequoia (Clover) Endeavour (Systemd-boot). The issue do not exist booting from USB Opencore.

EDIT: I check again config.plist and try again. Result: screenshot below

It looks like you started bootloader from bootloader from other bootloader.

Is this instruction for Sequoia?

1. Download Clover

cd ~
mkdir src
cd src
git clone --recurse-submodule https://github.com/CloverHackyColor/CloverBootloader.git
cd CloverBootloader

2. Download and install Python 3.12...
3. Set a link for python

cd /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/3.12/bin/
sudo ln -s python3.12 python
cd -

4. Install tools
pip3 install setuptools

5. make -C BaseTools

6. ./buildme

@Max.1974 Yes, I’m using macpro 7,1 with a DSDT that @MaLd0n shared with me for Sonoma. I’m out of town but will check again over the weekend. Thanks a lot for the tips!

My Z390 system have several HDD : macOS, Windows, Linux (multi-partition with Systemd-boot). Where is no issue (of course) when I start multi-boot Linux from UEFI Bios (F12 on Gigabyte). Problem is cominig when I boot from USB Clover (Installer macOS Sequoia) ! Even if Scan Linux is disabled in config.plist

SOLVED : for an experimental, I have put systemd-bootx64.efi in Drivers folder (Clover not detect systemd-bootx64.efi, actually only grub seems to be). I forgotten it. Now, I removed this efi file. USB Clover boot fine as usual.

I think I figured out what was delaying Clover booting (from bios to GUI)
AudioDxe.efi is the culprit... having deleted it from the Drivers folder reduced the time to a handful of seconds 👍
