not yet ... because it's still struggling to get the updates to beta 10 ... without secureboot disable, you only get install full, which is beta 8 ... not even in opencore until you set secure boot to disable, you can't update at beta 10 ... it's verified

we must waiting ...

unfortunately I get similar result with beta 10 and clover.
If I boot non verbose I get a reboot but if I boot verbose my boot stalls and seems USB related.

@ellaosx Have a look to my post: it's the full Installer for Beta 10. I can't get delta update (4GB)

I don't think so because when I got the update notice I also got the 12GB installer which was the Beta I was running at the time. When I figured it out and Disabled SecureBoot, I then got the New Beta 10 update at 3.82GB.

Which SecureBoot are you talking about? In the BIOS it is disabled on my Z390 as usual. Clover does not have a SecureBoot option. So I do not understand.

@corint1 is probably right: let's wait.

Oh ok Mat, my misunderstanding I am purely OC so that's the difference. An error on my part. :angel_not:

PS - According to Apple's Beta notes a full install is not available for this Beta only an update, see the attached.

I read the Apple's Beta note. But Big Sur's SoftwareUpdate show other things. Strange !

I found that note in the 'Feedback Assistant' after I updated to Beta10 to see and check the Bug Fixes.

What software or script are you using to find Beta releases? I would like to use it please.

I find it rather curious that Apple gives different information. Or there is a bug in Big Sur's Software Update Tool
Obviously, I do not question what you say. :)

Why would I unpack the pkg when I can just download the zip from github??? Oh, you didn't know there's github for clover?

I tried merging the plist already, line by line > fail

I tried using the old and just adding the quirks > fail

updating files one by one >fail

updating drivers and kexts > fail

What else shall I do?

This shouldn't happen.

I'm quitting Clover. I've had enough.

You can pray to God and ask him to forgive you for being such an ungrateful keyboard warrior.

I think Apple would still offer 11.0.1+ Update DMGs on the official site.

But yes, if we didn't solve this, Software Update would always download a full 11.0.1+ System Installer...

Est-ce que quelqu'un d'autre que vous l'a confirmé?

Good Morning
I confirm that you cannot boot Normal by the system as it was in
previous versions

to get the boot in beta 10 you have to do it from the Preboot
boot and not by the name you gave it
because in the case of sism it makes a kernel panic!

I'm doing another partition for new tests and I return the
result BUT I confirm by Preboot
mode how the installation can open and use the Beta 10
systm I did this tonight ...

what is still with the error is to update because Clover
does not have the SecureBootModel disabled
and it was necessary but for the rest Elite Elite 820 G2
intel i5-5300u hd 5500 installation of
beta 9 without problems and all pos installation of 10
can be done by the Clover r5124 on the first
commit (then mark the reference) r5124 commit d2bec9ba0

are on the right track!

Hi all,

Got clover 5124 working here on Haswell Laptop, however one of the kexts I use is not loading, I've got this run the debug log:

OCAK: org.rehabman.driver.FakePCIID.XHCIMux got KXLD 0 0
17:763  0:001  OCAK: Requesting __LINKEDIT for org.rehabman.driver.FakePCIID.XHCIMux - 9145B348 at 38CA000
17:764  0:001  OCAK: Requesting SymbolTable for org.rehabman.driver.FakePCIID.XHCIMux - 572
17:771  0:006  OCAK: Dependency org.rehabman.driver.FakePCIID was not found for kext org.rehabman.driver.FakePCIID.XHCIMux
17:783  0:012  OCAK: Vtable patching failed for kext org.rehabman.driver.FakePCIID.XHCIMux
17:785  0:001  OC: Prelinked injection .\Kexts\10.15\FakePCIID_XHCIMux.kext () - Invalid Parameter

Does anybody know if this Kext is actually 'compatible' with OC?

Attaching debug.log

Thanks!

Do you also have FakePCIID too? It says that's not found and XHCIMux depending on that.

Yep, I have it as this is a plugin for FakePCIID... other dependent kexts suck as FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio.kext load just fine according to the attached debug.log, in fact I have ALC and HDMI audio working. This kext loads fine with Clover 5122.. not sure why this specific one doesn't. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi @Slice @Jief_Machak

I confirm what @PG7 say: Clover r5124 commit 4d34c7b can also update Big Sur Beta 9 to Beta 10 (3,82Go), using preboot Volume (SIP = 0x67 available). It's strange but it's true :) If we use normal volume: Software Update tool show only the full installer (11,83Go). This behavior is different from that of Beta 9.

I think too that the reason: Clover doesn't have SecureBootModel=Disabled (embedded or in config.plist). This strange behavior does not exist on Opencore with SecureBootModel=Disabled.
