Also desirable to inject a LAN kext which can be required for success installation. Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but CLOVER injection of FakeSMC and LAN alone is not likely to be sufficient for a macOS installation. Will probably need to be able to inject Lilu, WhateverGreen and USBInjectAll (or other USB kext), too.

I'm pretty sure I can find a way to integrate OpenCore without changing their sources or the structure, which means that we'll just have to "git pull" to keep be up to date. In that, I'm good If we go that way, why would we have a memory problem and they don't ? Because Clover is bigger ? Do you already know which is function the function that do injection in OpenCore, that should be compiled and integrated ? No rush, answer this evening. No, I don't know OC structure. Probably kext injection provided by Library/OcAppleKernelLib/Link.c called somewhere. About memory problem. It may appear for both OC or Clover no matter of Clover size. The problem is a place where we can allocate our kexts. There is a gap inside KC but of limited size. I don't know if the problem somehow resolved in OC. deeveedee
Just upgraded my HP EliteDesk 800 G4 Mini from r5119 / AptioMemoryFix.efi to r5122 / OCQuirks.efi. Upgrade was painless and everything appears to be working perfectly. Thank you CLOVER team for your great work! EDIT: My steps for migrating from r5119 / AptioMemoryFix to r5122 / OCQuirks is documented here. Edited September 3, 2020 by tonyx86

This patch failure may explain the stop of bigsur installation. Second error I see is "couldn't allocate class AppleIntelPCHSeriesAHCI". Why Apple's kext is not loaded? My chipset is Z170. Is it bad for bigsur? Or bigsur can be installed only on SSD and not on HDD? I don't understand.

SavageAUS
Hi guys, due to the way OC handles Windows booting (passing through all patches etc) I would like to boot windows with clover and boot OC with clover also. I know I could use refind to do the same thing but once clover can boot and install big sur on both Intel and AMD (I have both) I would prefer to switch back to clover.
Jief_Machak
I configured OpenCore to boot Big Sur installer version 11.0.20A5343j (which beta is that ? 4 ?). Then, I disabled all the Kernel/Add in OpenCore .plist. Guess the result... Now finding which kext is needed to go over that.
