oSxFr33k
Is it just me or is it possible that the later version of Clover are not so Legacy Bios friendly? Asus Laptop G51JX Arendale processor i7-920xm with discreet nvidia GTS 360M GFX only intel GFX disabled by ASus and a second Laptop with i7-2720qm sandy bridge first generation with intel HD3000 enabled only, no discreet graphic have issues with USB. I have to change ECHI to EH01 and EH02 directly in DSDT, but if I use rename in Clover the USB will not work. Is there less support for Legacy Bios in the latest versions of Clover? There a are a couple other things I have noticed for example if I run the G51JX without DSDT and no ACPI DSDT fixes on Clover it boots with no issues, one would think without at least HPET fix I would get kernel panic? Are there minimal fixes in place in Clover without adding them in Clover Config? HPET, IPIC, TMR, and IRQ for example the basic ones? There are other things I have noticed as well but need to do more testing with older versions of clover. Thanks! mrjayviper
I want to use UEFI OSX booting on my S2600CP2 board. I'm not sure if the board has UEFI capabilities but I know it has an EFI shell and I know that when I try to boot using an Ubuntu USB installer, I use/see the "UEFI: my ubuntu-USB-stick-here" option in the list of bootable drives. Also after installing Ubuntu, I see a "UEFI:ubuntu" in the boot options and I use this UEFI to start Ubuntu. I followed this guide (https://github.com/Pavo-IM/CloverInstall/wiki/Yosemite) when creating a bootable UEFI clover USB installer. When booting the OSX USB installer, there's no UEFI label unlike in Ubuntu. I have no choice but to select the USB stick from the selection and when it tries to boot, all I see is the cursor blinking. Any ideas what I could be doing wrong? Thanks a lot! ps. From what I can remember all SATA ports on the board are configured as AHCI. not sure if this matters. Edited June 28, 2018 by mrjayviper
