Official image exist for sandy bridge. Maybe 10.6.6i or 10.6.7

I have a two image.

I can install. But need patch aicpum.

Some sandy laptop users(rehabman, me) use 10.6.8

Rehabman can kernel cache and kext patch.

But i cant it.

Add#1.

I test same clover status to install lion 10.7.5

Good works. AICPUM and kexttopatch feature in clover.

Why osx 10.7.5 works? And 10.6.8 not work. I install same method.

I used to osx 10.7~10.11. No problem in clover.

These are times I get...

Grub Exfat

SATA disk (MBR) 1:074

USB disk (MBR) 1:417

Grub NTFS

SATA disk (MBR)

0:961

0:943

0:944

SATA disk (GPT)

0:944

0:944

EDK2 Fat Driver

SATA disk (GPT) 0:926

USB disk (MBR) 0:926

VBox HFS

SATA disk (GPT)

0:926

1:118 on system partition

USB disk (MBR)

1:100 on system partition

So none is especially snappy.

Grub EXFAT is bundled into boot[367].  You can disable by

./ebuild.sh -D NO_GRUB_DRIVERS

Your values are significantly higher than mine.

It might be worth mentioning that I have scan legacy and tools disabled.

What's intriguing is the difference between exfat and the other partitions. Is the difference merely driver-related or is clover doing unnecessary scanning of the partitions?

@Sherlock, what I'm saying looks stupid, but you can try to remove AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext.bak?

I see that Clover load (or try to load) also kexts renamed with other extensions other than "kext"...at least this appear in bootlog, not sure those/these extensions are loaded

if it were an IVY then i would probaly agree with you that clover AsusAICPUPM is not working on 10.6.8

My ProBook 4530s is Sandy Bridge. SL does not not support Ivy Bridge.

Rehabman did you use Probook installer?

No.

No.

i make kernel cache by this method

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279023-should-i-update-the-kext-caches-how-do-i-do-this/

10.7~10.10 use same kernel cache method. so i havent boot problem.

but 10.6 difference.

/System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/Extensions.mkext

use. also i see clover bootloader can use this /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/Extensions.mkext

i surely rebuild Extensions.mkext. then reboot still have aicpum panic

today i can boot without cache option with no patch aicpum.kext

Will they work if you boot "Without cache"?

I confirm that i can boot without cache option.

I rebuild cache with kext utility or kext wizard. Then reboot system. But not work AICPUM. So i get kernel panic.

Points to a kernel cache problem -- the kexts are loading "outside of cache" and therefore not patched. Perhaps you have it set in your config.plist?

Your ACPI/patched is a bit of a mess (dynamic SSDTs should not be there). Also, your config.plist is wrong as far as ACPI configuration for the files you have in APCI/patched. Since you have patched SSDTs there, you need SortedOrder to specify SSDT load order.

You should try Kext Wizard to rebuild cache.

Is it related in kernel cache?

There is no problem 10.7~10.11

Also 10.6 feature is good. Just cache problem and kexttopatch.

Can you give me config.plist file?

OK... feeling like I'm "talking to a wall" here.

Did you use Kext Wizard to rebuild cache?

Ofc. I use kext wizard and i confirm permission and s/l/cache/startup/extension.kext file. Then reboot.

I got AICPUM kp.

Did you do a fresh install to be certain it isn't something else you changed that is preventing your system from booting using kernelcache?

confirm attached image. and i attached normal clover debug.log with booted nullcpu.kext

i try to test many times kext wizard or kext utillity or terminal command to rebuild cache.

post-980913-0-31474200-1464375854_thumb.png

then reboot, normal boot. i cant boot. confim attached picture

if you dont believe me, check vanilla kernel version 10.7.3 in pic

as result, my system isnt work AICPUM and KextToPatch in clover.

but without cache(use patched AICPUM or NullCPU) works KextToPatch in clover

AICPUM - normal boot not work, without cache boot not work

KextToPatch - Normal boot not work, without cache boot work

I tested it before install 10.6.7

10.6.7 DVD image is retail for Sandy

Also not related in cache

I had many many test and confirm old snow leopard thread. As result, no effect.

If i want to work, i have to modify kext by me, AHCIPort(trim enable), AICPUM(to avoid panic and to work powermanagement). Then rebuild cache, normal boot. Thats good work.

Goto MSI forum & request UEFI GOP. Flash vbios. Remove EDID, csm drivers, patch vbios. Disable csm in BIOS.

@cecekpawon as you said I request UEFI GOP from MSI forum and I flashed vbios and now looked like down below;

Request UEFI GOP.  Done

Flash vbios. Done

Remove EDID How to do it

CSM Drivers What is it and where am I found it?

Patch vbios. with clover configurator or how?

Disable CSM in BIOS. I can do it by myself :)  :P

There is no such thing as a 10.6.7 DVD. Apple provided only SL 10.6 and 10.6.3. Current SL DVD from apple.com is 10.6.3.

Disable CSM in BIOS. I can do it by myself  :)   :P

1) from your config.plist (if any)

2) from EFI/CLOVER/driversXXUEFI if any (read 4) not needed if CSM is disabled )

3) from your confi.plist (if already there, you will know better than us because no one have edited the "Graphics" section other than You)

4) Sure. "Compatibility Support Module" is used to boot using legacy bios (bootsector reading instead of U-EFI). not needed with Clover UEFI.

:)
