Slice
I ran into a problem with my keyboard using clover. (clover kill's my keyboard till i replug it, even rebooting doesn't help) Now im trying to compile clover by myself with DISABLE_USB_SUPPORT defined, but i don't exactly know how. I did a compile with clovergrowerpro and it succeeded, but i dont know how/where to define the variable. (btw im only java developer, i hardly know whats going on there in this scripts called by clovergrowerpro :/) I am not using CGP and can't help you there. I make the follow in terminal $ ./ebuild.sh -D DISABLE_USB_SUPPORT

If defined then the procedure will not be called EFI_STATUS DisableUsbLegacySupport( void ) /*++ Routine Description: Disable the USB legacy Support in all Ehci and Uhci. This function assume all PciIo handles have been created in system. Arguments: None Returns: EFI_SUCCESS EFI_NOT_FOUND --*/
kosakgroove
Hi guys! Could you help me setting up a custom entry setup for my partitions in one hard drive of the laptop? I only want this because I would like to use a different config plist in my Mavericks partition than the one i use for my other two El Capitan partitions. I also have Windows installed. Typhoon_Master
ok, i have a problem that my self build clover pkgs are not able to boot osx. when i select it it only appears a black screen forever - no message. Although booting windows from clover works. interesting thing here is that the official pkgs actualy are doing fine. (same revision checked out) do someone know why this could happen, or how the official pkgs are built? (parameters of ebuild.sh etc.) i build mine with: ./ebuild.sh -gcc49 -release -D USE_APPLE_HFSPLUS_DRIVER --x64 thank you in advance
Slice
It may depend on revision of EDK2 environment and patches you applied to it. I seems stay with 18686.
Typhoon_Master
It may depend on revision of EDK2 environment and patches you applied to it. I seems stay with 18686. Genius, that did the trick. Again, thank you for your help. I would have searched for another serveral hours to find the misstake.
LockDown
@Slice EDK2 v18686 is good for compiling?
arsradu
@Slice EDK2 v18686 is good for compiling? Yes, it's ok. Guys, I'm having issues with my new monitor (Dell U2515H). Yesterday I couldn't get the system to post with the monitor connected (now I know why, but still it doesn't make any sense). It would just display an error (see below) and after a while, it would go straight into Windows 10 (installed in UEFI mode). You'll see why this is important. Also, I can't make the Clover GUI to be displayed in native resolution 2560x1440. It's just stretched and ugly and I don't have a second stage logo anymore (the loading bar is there, centered, at native resolution, but the logo is not. Anyway, so two things: 1. after a few hours of pulling my hair, not knowing why the hell do I get the error above, after a 30 minutes call with Dell customer support, I decided to try a new BIOS (although, in the past, I had issues with that version, that's why I reverted to the current one). But I thought, just for the kicks, that I should try and see if at least that fixes the error I get on boot-up. And...it did, but it didn't. ) While I was now able to select the boot options, enter BIOS and stuff like that, the problem was not the BIOS itself, but a specific BIOS setting: CSM disabled. With that disabled, I get that error, and after a few seconds, it goes straight into Windows. Why does this happen? Anyone else having this issue? Is it because of the resolution? Is it because of a bug in the BIOS (same option, previous 1440x900 monitor, everything ok, with the same setting). I don't get it... Between yesterday and today, two things have changed (hardware-wise): the monitor itself (with its increased resolution) and the port I'm connected to (before it was VGA, now it's HDMI). So...what is the connection between CSM and this setup? Why did it work with the previous monitor, connected via VGA, but it doesn't work with this one? And 2. How do I fix my Clover GUI resolution (maybe second stage boot logo, as well?). I did the trick with setting the boot-display at the 3rd port (@C) according to my ioreg, adding PatchVBios (since now CSM is enabled ) and Injected EDID (using Clover's Inject EDID option). Unfortunately the only thing I accomplished with this was a now centered and full resolution loading bar for the second stage. Which is better than nothing, sure. But Clover first stage boot is stretched and low res. No idea why.
Slice
If CSM is enabled you can get a screen with black border. To have real full screen you have to: - CSM is disabled - VideoCard has UEFI VideoBIOS.
arsradu
If CSM is enabled you can get a screen with black border. To have real full screen you have to: - CSM is disabled - VideoCard has UEFI VideoBIOS. Yep, I know that. This is how it was until yesterday.Video card has UEFI bios. And CSM was disabled since all my operating systems are now using UEFI boot. Still, with only the monitor changed (and the port, of course), I get that error upon booting when CSM is disabled. After a while, it automatically boots into Windows. Can't even go into BIOS to re-enable that {censored}. Not that I would really want to do it. cecekpawon
@arsradu your patch vbios still applied? ** also remove csmvideodxe
arsradu
@arsradu your patch vbios still applied? ** also remove csmvideodxe I tried with and without the Patch VBios... In theory, I shouldn't need that. Since the video card is already using a UEFI BIOS. But to take advantage of that, I need to disable the freaking CSM... Which I can't. This might be a motherboard/UEFI issue... I tried with and without csmvideodxe. And unfortunately same result... But I will try again tonight when I get home. Thanks for your feedback. I guess everyone else is using other motherboards (which support higher resolutions) or maybe they are not using CSM disabled or...maybe not using 2K monitors (which I find it hard to believe since they're not so "new" anymore and they became more and more affordable nowadays). But who knows... Update: Nope...No difference with Patch VBios...
kosakgroove
Is there any way to add a shutdown button in Clover GUI? There is the restart one, but can a shutdown one be enabled? Also, how can one set a custom icon for a partition when using Custom Entries?
