Had to revert to r3270 on my Samsung laptop as it kept restarting on boot.

When I booted in verbose mode I saw that AICPUPM was panicking. Maybe there's something wrong with the AsusAICPUPM patch?

What patches did you set?

Hi, both my internal and external hard drive show as Internal drive (metallic). Internal hard drive is fine since it has metallic color.  Will the above quote solve my external hard drive not to show as internal drive? Current using El Captain and Clover.

thx

Are you using Dummy.kext or something like that ? If so, see my post. It's very easy to fix ;).

Check that your USB3 ports works at full speed and also that all your USB ports actually works. You may find out they do not and need to use dummys.kext to make sure they are working as they should…

Anyway, I don't think it's Clover related and most likely a USB issue so you should ask in appropriates topics here or here ;).

How do I install Clover using a Linux installation? The only official instructions are at the wiki and they are very vague. I'm trying this with a disk image and QEMU.

Which files do I write to the MBR and the PBR? Where are the files that I am supposed to put in the FAT32 partition? Where is Efildr20 (the file that emulates EFI)?

Take CloverISO-3280.tar.lzma unpack. Here you find all files.

For MBR - boot0af

For PBR - boot1f32

For Efildr20 - boot7. Rename it to "BOOT".

Good luck!

I am just trying to pinpoint why I can't install Caffeine from the Mac App store, could anyone else running Clover please let me know if they use it and had an issue downloading it from there (Tried on both El Capitan release version and newer public beta)?

This is what happens in Console when I try...

Have you considered...uhm, Store issues? :)

I get the same error with all my purchases or "new acquisitions". So I doubt this has anything to do with your computer, or Clover. :P

Absolutely yes, but everything else installs ok (It has been like this since the weekend).

I also contact the creator of the app but didn't yet get a response.

Is this how the error looks to you?

attachicon.gifScreen Shot 2015-10-07 at 06.13.21.png

Yep, that's the error.

And I take it back, it doesn't happen to all my purchases, but it does happen to a few of them. Try Novabench for example. That one gives me an error (same one), as well.

And I just tried this with Clover 3277 (I was previously on 3280), just to see if that makes any difference. It doesn't.

I was just going to update to 3280 from 3277 ;)

I also tried enabling SIP (Changed 0x67 to 0x0) but that didn't help either.

Google does show some info but nothing I tried so far works, hopefully an App store issue like you said.

I'm not sure SIP has anything to do with it... I mean, hell, if it had even remotely something to do with it, all of the purchases should have failed. But not all of them do.

And updating to 3280 would probably be a good idea. But not to fix this issue. :)) I can confirm it won't make any difference.

Also I'm using 0x3 for my CsrActiveConfig. So I really don't think SIP is the reason here. Apple store has been having issue before. I wouldn't be surprised if this was just another case of server malfunctioning.

If you really want that software, as a workaround, you could try getting it from other sources, as a dmg file. Google seems to have it in their "store". :))

0:135  0:002    10 1920x1440 attr=BB - ok, edid-

but i need 16:9 resolutions, enoch "?video" shows me more resolutions.
I've patched 1920x1440 to 1920x1080 which works but i need higher resolutions, will UEFI BIOS do that for me?

 The answer lies in your Console. Sandboxing.......

Caffeine current version was released in 29th December 2010, version 1.1.1. by Lighted software, and not updated since.  You, I am sure are aware of the fact that ElCap has improved protections built in. It will be up to the software author to update the software, and I am sure apple will get round to removing redundant apps in due course, if they do not do this...

Take CloverISO-3280.tar.lzma [/size]unpack. Here you find all files.

For MBR - boot0af

For PBR - boot1f32

For Efildr20 - boot7. Rename it to "BOOT".

Good luck!

That's it? There is more to Clover than just that. And there is also no file titled "boot1f32" in the ISO.

dumb me.. :) My portable HDD is a usb3. When I connect to a usb3 port, it show as Ext drive but if connect to usb2 port, it show as Int drive. So I'm kewl with connecting to usb3 :)

Question about Clover:

I try to learn how to pre-install El Captain w/out using pre-bulit installer.  First I create El Captain with command code

sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/USB --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app --nointeraction

Then I install Clover latest version as Legacy as show in here http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/305255-making-a-10101011-usb-installer-w-clover-uefi-and-legacy-the-correct-way/

Then I copy FakeSMC, to Clover/kext/10.11 folder.  I edit conf with plistedit pro.  The only thing I touch was:

    <key>Graphics</key>

    <dict>

        <key>Inject</key>

        <dict>

            <key>ATI</key>

            <true/>

and

        <key>AsusAICPUPM</key>

        <true/>

Done.  I boot and it stop at "Sound assetion in AppleHDADiver at line 1088 then monitor shut off but desktop still has power.

I try Chris111 installer and working fine but I just want to see if I'm not using Chrs111 installer.

Sorry if this is not the right place to ask question.
