Why I know? Never tested.

Reboot automatic after what? Before CloverGUI, before load kernel or before enter desktop?

 

 

on legacy bios system clover cant boot from bootmgr.efi rather it boots from bootmgfw.efi file although IDK difference about both file 

What is the problem?

I am on such legacy computer (#4 on sig) and Windows UEFI started by Clover.

As I want to use some of Clover's injection and kext-patching features anyway it's working out like this for me too. A pass-thru mode which could be enabled on real macs (by default) to show their real SMBIOS would be useful, through.

Now the real point I'm getting to is, that I recently purchased a Thunderbolt/PCIe-box for use with an external graphics card. To accomplish using eGPUs via Thunderbolt you need to patch the video drivers to enable GPU-PCI pass-thru. While this is not that hard to do an even better method would be, if the GPU could be shown as being internally connected via PCI so that the drivers would load on their own. Is there any functionality like this? (like the ethernet-built-in-hack) Or would it be possible to implement?

Not obligatory.

Mostly all settings can be erased from config.plist. Clover knows the best value for you.

 

PS. Meanwhile this is wrong. DefaultLoader is not Clover. It is "boot.efi".

It is strange idea to show Clover that it is own the default.

 

Clover is not bootloader. It is Boot Manager.

Bootloaders are:

boot.efi for OSX

grub.efi for Linux

bootmgr.efi for Windows

Actually I do not have any programming knowledge or whatsoever, but I'm interested in that matter so I read quiet a bit. The PCI-tunneling feature is enabled as follows, and has to be set in the kext-file's Info.plist (Reference).

I thought that there might be a way to advertise the GPU or any other PCI card as built-in, although I do not know of anyway to do this. I referred to Clover as a knew of the Ethernet feature and that it's possible to fool the system in which port a device is installed.

As Thunderbolt is basically an device and protocol that transports PCIe, my idea was that even an PCIe port that is a bit further away might be somehow advertised to the OS as one being internally accessible.

(It also might be possible using some commands in an refi-shell, but till now I didn't found any.)

 

I have the AKiTiO Thunder2 PCIe Box (with a 96W power supply to support the 75W PCI slot) 

and now I'm using a NVIDIA 8500 GT, 512MB for testing purpose,

although I like purchasing an NVIDIA GTX 750TI (ITX) as it is the most capable card I found being able to run using the 75Watt PCI power only (and also fits into the AKiTiO box).

Additional note: Actually the GPU is recognised as a PCIe device. At last after patching the kext files. Beforehand it was not recognised at all (System Information.app).

on my system if i select Bootmrg.efi my clover screen hangs for few second and then return to bootmanager screen automatically.......

I think bootmgr.efi is used for advanced startup, but it needs to be loaded from boomgfw.efi. I might be completely wrong though.

I see here you've stated legacy boot. So maybe in this case, if you need Clover to find bootmgr.efi instead of bootmgfw.efi then you could try renaming bootmgfw.efi so Clover does not find it?

This could be fixed by Clover injection. This is the method spied from Mac EFI.
