You should allow Clover generate C and P-states and drop other SSDT tables.

Then, if you asked a help then please provide reports. The best one is DarwinDumper.

I have found two old ioreg dumps from a real MacPro3,1 and if I am not mistaken, when I open them with IORegistryExplorer, the serial number identifier looks like the serial number of the computer with the last three digits repeated in front, i.e XYLCK928AK6XYL (randomly generated with Clovers as an example.) This breaks the 13 and the 17 digit rule. Am I not reading the IOReg correctly?

 

EDIT 12-08-14:

I used the wrong fake serial number. Using XYLCK944MWEXYLXYL you come up with the require 17 digits. So the question is, is this how MacPro3,1 or other 11 digit serial numbers are created?

I don't know, maybe the apps don't read correctly the frequencies?

With Chameleon, HWMonitor showed correctly turbo frequencies. And DPCIManager showed more P states (turbo).

Something is wrong. Maybe config.plist? What else?

I just installed mavericks using the Chameleon bootloader, once the process is complete. I want to move to clover bootloader. after installing clover (version-3033) in efi partition and configure completed, I try to reboot my computer, but somehow, my pc is still using the Chameleon boot loader?

although I try to remove the remnants of the Chameleon, but the results are still same, my pc boot use Chameleon boot loader.

Are you using a UEFI BIOS? If so you need to add Clover to the BIOS and set that as the first boot device. There are instructions on how to do this here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/287737-how-toclover-on-efi-partitionadd-to-bios/

 

If you're not using UEFI, make sure you have "install boot0af in the MBR" checked in the installer.

after installed clover with latest version (3050) with your suggestion, now clover success to be primary boot loader. but clover didn't show regular boot menu screen..

fixed.. i just replaced "boot" file with an older version. i don't know, with clover 30xx. the screen menu won't load. now fixed, yes... just replaced only.

Re: vboxhfs.efi vs hfsplus.efi

 

well good news perhaps ...  i just retested VboxHfs-64.efi vs HFSPlus-64.efi on r3050 ... and now I see no difference in the GUI device listings. meaning no more odd entries. VboxHFS is now slightly faster (as it reads 3 disks - 1 SSD, 1 esata and 1 USB2.0). so i will continue using Vbox now. 

 

bottom line:  i cannot recreate the problem with VboxHFS any more. (i had posted seeing extra entries on Nov 2 with builds 2976.)
