Guys how to install new update to Fusion Drive? My current version is 2774 new release 2890.. I tried but its create new EFI folder inside my root doesn't update my boot EFI partion inside to Fusion Drive... should I change manually or is there a different way to directly update?

Create and boot from a Clover EFI Bootloader device like an USB thumb drive or a SD Card to solve this problem.

I have this card orico usb3 pcie card http://www.amazon.com/ORICO-PVU3-4P-PCI-Express-Controller-Adapter/dp/B005LC2MLC

that was working ok with chameleon but in clover its like its not detected. Wondering if I have to tweak something in config.plist to get it back.

Odd enough I have a pcie firewire card that its detected ok.

 

No way I'm going back to chameleon.

You probably need XhciDxe-64.efi driver for USB3 if you are using legacy firmware.

The card itself likely does not have efi firmware on it unlike the motherboard usb, try the suggested solution.

But if I untick <install for UEFI booting only> so I can un-grey the drivers64 options wouldn't I just disable the uefi feature which is where clovers shines?

Or is there a way to install drivers64 => xhcidxe-64 on uefi mode enabled?

Yeah but do you have CSM enabled? The card is probably initialized through the legacy interface and you need the driver as a wrapper.

Will check tomorrow, I think csm its disabled since I just turned uefi only on the bios.

That I am not certain of what I would try to get it done is use Pacifist to extract the file from the installer then put it in the drivers64 on a usb stick to see if it will work for you booting your install with the usb stick. If it works then you copy it to your HDs efi partition.

Untick  to have both UEFI boot and legacy boot. Clover installer is not going to disable UEFI boot.

I can't  figure out why I am getting an immediate reboot with Clover 2890?  I have been on Clover Pre 2837 for some time and decided to try the newest version with changes to AptioFix.

 

Device is Asus G750Jx Notebook with Haswell.

Maybe my config.plist has something not compatible in newer Clover Versions because I noticed a reboot in version 2829 as well?

Figured it out.  So it looks like the Kernel patch is no longer applied by default for Haswell kernel in CPU MSR lock haswell systems.  I now have to enable KernelPM under Kernel and Kext patches.  Weird!!

 

Was this removed in Clover 28xx versions?  I did not have to enable this in versions 27xx.

I meant osx kernel. I do not have to apply kernelpm patch using Clover versions 27xx. Sometime after version 2795, Clover no longer auto patches Msr CPU lock. I'll reinstall 2795 and 3829 with debug logs in the morning. Just shutdown.

debug.log will be created even if immediately reboot. See /EFI/CLOVER/misc folder.

Without this file I don't know what about speak.

Sorry for the delay.  I re-installed Clover 2795.  All 27xx Clover versions before this one also worked the same way.  I have not enabled KernelPM and according to log, it still auto patches and boots fine.  Config.plist and debug.log attached.  With Clover versions 28xx I have to enable KernelPM otherwise I get a immediate reboot.

 

Prepared a clean debug.log with Clover version 2890.  In the debug.log without KernelPM enabled, I let it try to boot several times each time it reboot but I still see this in log:

It seems for new logic if you created Custom Entries then you have to set patches independently for each entry. No defaults.

Can someone give me info about the clover nvidia injection. I mean what does it inject differently than normal DSDT injection.

Actually when I enable nVidia injection in clover config, I get smooth transition from boot screen to desktop.

But when I disable it and use DSDT injection or without DSDT, it does not transit to Desktop smoothly, I always get a black flash when it start transition from boot screen to Desktop screen.

I want to disable clover nVidia injection because it adds delay in booting os x.

but when I use the VGA (D-Sub) output, I have full screen 

but when using HDMI output, I have a black frame around

Yes Indeed it is more powerful. I get same performance and power management with any method of two(Clover/DSDT ) only difference is that it is little bit slow( not that much).

Thanks for the info and your precious time, I think I need to dig into source code to get more information about clover injection. 

 

BTW I love this boot-loader, I tried Ozmosis but it has limited feature list and too much to save 1 second in boot difference.

 

And one suggestion if you would like to include. Is it possible that Clover can cache scan entries in single file as It is not a problem with single or two drive but with multiple drives it takes little time to scan all the entries.

If I add custom entries than can I disable scan entries or it is still needed.

I have a problem with AutoBoot again. After update my system to latest Clover my AutoBoot dead.

 

What I tried 

 

nvram reset it doesn't work.

IgnoreNVRAMBoot to make DefaultVolume it doesnt work either.

Finally I found it but it doesnt work permanently. (When I choose Startup Disk and Restart computer AutoBoot works. Like the picture down below) But when I shut down to computer and open again this time AutoBoot doesnt work... How to make this option permanent any idea for that or what cause this situation how to fix that?

Currently I have this settings, but I want to enable High current so I can charge iPhone, iPad and plug in USB devices in my USB apple keyboard.

Do I have to do something besides that tick above?

I tried the genericUSBHCI 1.2.7 driver as well, but it's the same (500 mA).

From what I remember the USB ports on the apple extended keyboard are under powered even on real macs. They weren't powerful enough to run certain USB drives and charge iPads. Designed for mice. Plug directly into USB port on the motherboard and see if your getting the correct voltage from there..
