Hi all. Just want to share an interesting observation I made yesterday (perhaps surpassed it, but anyway ...). I was having a little problem with shutdown working intermittently on my Mavericks, and after much research and reading, I saw that this problem also occurs with the Apple hardware. In one reading I saw that the problem could be caused by the Find my Mac and disable it suffice to correct the problem and really that's what happened here.

You need a theme in folder Clover

I have a folder called "themes" in my clover, there are only small .png files. Should there be anything else?

Her are som pics of my folders:

So, I've begun to try out Clover. I can get it to boot no problem on my Z87M-D3H but when I try to boot any OS X volume, all I get is a black screen. No text, no nothing. Got to power down the system. Why is that?

@iDrewn,

that is the embedded theme, it's not too fantastic at the moment, you need to install a theme. Easiest way to do that is select one in installer, they are selected by default though so you must have unchecked it.

I'm on Windows, don't know hos to get in to the installer. I really needs help with this! :(

@iDrew: you actually have 2 themes installed already (BGM and black_green) but you need to set the preference or it won't be used!

Ok, I tthink that I'm starting to unerstand how this works now..  :)  In my "EFI" folder I have the config.plist file, but when I search that .plist there is no Theme section. The only place I can find the Theme section are in refit.plist, and if I understand correct that is for older versions? I have r2444.. :help: And to answer earlier speaker @magnifico, it's made on Windows 7 64-bit using Transmac and Diskutility tool. (has tried booth).

You don't need any of that stuff to make a clover usb stick, you do need it to make an installer but as I recall you can only make a lion or older installer using that method, so you need os x to create a mountain lion or mavericks installer. you can always create the lion installer in windows and just keep upgrading and then create whichever installer you want at that point. Don't know how you came about that he had those themes installed but he does not according to boot log, he has bootcamp, my guess is an old one or something. He needs aptiofix because it's not there and he has AMI firmware

Please check out the wiki for how to correctly configure because if you have refit.conf then you are probably using wrong style of old config.plist

Oh forgot just download the newest package from sourceforge http://sourceforge.net/projects/cloverefiboot/ and use 7zip to extract the components in windows, easiest way to create it. Is open .pkg and then grab EFIFolder.pkg/Payload/Payload~/./ and extract that to usb root. pick the drivers you need and navigate same way to get them, then make sure you copy \EFI\CLOVER\CLOVERX64.efi to \EFI\BOOT\BOOTX64.efi. You should have good structure, now just edit config.plist as needed from wiki reference. Drivers go in \EFI\CLOVER\drivers64UEFI and themes go in \EFI\CLOVER\themes. You'll probably need to do some DSDT/SSDT patching.

OK! Will try this asap! I really appreciate tthe help!

sorry for my bad english, i'm from sweden ;)

Hello Slice,

It is not booted in 32-bit from rev 2482 to latest release of rev 2512.

And 64-bit is booted OK until now.

You should give more information to analyze.

I tested every version and have never problem with 32bit. My notebooks works always in 32.

So earlier today I thought I had figured out Clover. I had it working and everything, did a Mavericks install and it was great until the Gigabyte UEFi hung and caused me to clear CMOS. Now even with OSXAptio driver, I can't get anything to boot with Clover past "root device UUID... Error Exiting Boot Services, Boot failed, Sleeping for 10 seconds etc.". I tried for hours and I'm just going to go back to Chameleon. Here's the Clover log if anyone wants to look at it. If anyone has an idea, please feel free.

Sure, I install Clover to SD-Card with options just like the following picture.

post-35058-0-22703600-1390541088_thumb.png

Tested in my 32bit only netbook and desktop PC with 64bit function.

My netbook and desktop PC stuck in only word "3" on monitor.

But, when I boot desktop PC in 64bit by pressing 6 and it boot OK.
