Try to use the framebuffer manually with "AtiConfig=xxx" (change the xxx by the differents framebuffer ) ;)

in an another time, you can send me a graphique BIOS dump and the result of your test with aticonfig.

Thank you very much! I'll try later when I get home

I have a System here with 3 7970's working with 10.8.2. I'm using GraphicsEnabler=No and booting just fine. I'm trying to figure out what I should do next should I just try the update or Should I extract the kext and try to run the 7970 new kext with 10.8.2 ?

Installed the beta on Asus g53jw-A1 with Nvidia 460m GTX. The only difference was from the Graphics side which works without patching, and no blue screen issues when waking from sleep or plugging additional screens, but lost about 30 point in Benchmark (Cinebench). There is a new AppleHDA included that i replaced with my working 10.8.2 one once the install complete.

I collect this topic info (THX fantomas1) and put into the Chameleon code.

Give it a try for AMD/ATI 7xxx (supposed)supported card.

GraphicsEnabler = Yes

EnableHDMIAudio = Yes

PKG REMOVED

Binaries REMOVED

The base FB is set to Aji but you can change it and chose between:

Aji Buri Chutoro Dashimaki Ebi Gari Futomaki

Hamachi OPM Ikura IkuraS

Great!

I think you can break easy the 1024K Gigaflops of OpenCL Galaxies Bench or get great Furmark OpenGL results with that card.

Thanks for this. But with Graphics enabler Yes I get a memory allocation error and halt before any kext load.

Sweet worked, I had to have Monitor pugged into last GPU.

Edit : update so it really isn't the third GPU. Unplugging and plugging monitor back in is helping, thats why I was confused. So currently this is what I have to do to boot. I have two cords from my monitor plugged in. GPU1 DVI port, GPU2 DisplayPort, and GPU2 also needs a Dummy Plug (http://www.geeks3d.com/20091230/vga-hack-how-to-make-a-vga-dummy-plug/).

This boots first to a white screen on the DVI port on GPU1. Then I change the Display source to DisplayPort and it works. Before without the dummy plug when I changed the source it would go to a screen with just desktop background with cursor and full resolution. I'm pretty sure this can be fixed without a dummy plug into the DVI.

I am still getting white screen (with mouse if I replug monitor) after Installing 10.8 then 10.8.3 Dev Update (or ATI7000 kext).

I have also injected DSDT (here) and booting with ATIConfig=Aji (XFX 7970, DVI, HDMI, DP, DP)

Am I missing something?

One user reported when he removed the SMbus edit it started working. Not sure why...

Well from a different forum I learned that if I put computer to sleep and wake it up (when white screen shows up) the graphics card starts up.

If I recall correctly sometime back a different card had similar thing going on with sleep&awake to get it started.

Also what happened to all the animations? I am not getting any hover effects showing up nor dock magnification.

Post a IOreg so I can make sure the Framebuffer is loaded.

Also I just updated the entire post to gather my thoughts and the information that I had gathered:

Here is ioreg http://www.mediafire.com/?57mx35k16snn754

Also I did a fresh install of 10.8

Then applied 10.8.3 and using certain tool (not sure if I can name it here), finished the setup with DSDT-Free Option, GraphicsEnabler=No, iMac12.2, plus other motherboard specific stuff. Ofcourse I set AtiCOnfig=Aji using CW.

Boots perfectly until white screen(s). Send it to sleep - wake up - and I am at desktop.

Two screens, full resolution, luxmark reports 1762 (7970 @stock)
