akeeper
Guys, I replaced WiFi adapter, but still can't login to App Store and iCloud. What I doing wrong? Fixed. When I tried to explain my self what can be wrong I saw that WiFi (which was replaced) identified as en3. It can be right for normally Mac. So what can I do to fix it? 1. First of all I deleted all network adapters. 2. After this I delete file with network adapters description in /Library/Preferences/System Configuration/NetworkInterfaces.plist 3. Switch off everything except WiFi 4. Reboot 5. Go to Preferences and add WiFi (FIRST!) 6. Add all another adapters 7. Profit!

mssmison
Is there an updated AppleIntelFramebufferCapri.kext for mavericks that allows HDMI/VGA and the panel at the same time for the UX31a? I've tried to hex edit it myself today with no luck. Right now both external displays work but they show a mirrored image and are detected as the same display. I'm using the UX31A zip file posted a couple pages back by darkera13.

pavn
Could you guide me with info how to use MacIASL repo you set up, please?I am very new to the DSDT patching things still.I just installed 10.9 Mavericks but still the OS does not behave optimally as it should, screen is slow, audio, f keys, etc. I had 10.8 OS X, with your created DSDT, which worked perfectly. I would like to achieve similar wonderful performance. Sorry, but I will not posting my DSDT anymore. You are welcome to use the MacIASL repo I set up.If you don't mind posting the KP log, I don't mind taking a look at it. Edit: I found patch repo http://fatalfatalis.ca/laptop , but how to use it? Any hint could be useful.I am trying to patch fetched dsdt.aml with the patches, but I get a lot of errors with use MaciASL.What is the order how the patches should be applied, please?I am stuck here. I need to use -x flag to be able to boot. Would be nice to have some kind help. Thanks in advance. It occasionally booted without -x but maybe I tried too much and hard to improve it. I use Clover EFI boot loader. Thanks in advance.

pavn
I use all the kext provided. You Clover configuration with clover boot loader. But I am unable to get to work my Intel HD 4000 graphics card to work. If the kexts are in /System/Extensions , it simply does not boot to OS X. ( AppleIntelHD4000Graphics.kext and AppleIntelFramebufferCapri.kext ) Could you advice how to get it work? I can boot to OS X with -x . Did you patched your DSDT.aml? I use 68x DSDT and SSDT files, since 68x has Asus Zenbook UX32VD as I have. But my is detected as UX32VDA. But it worked more or less for OS X 10.8.5. Fully work with 10.9 (except SD Card Reader). Can update from App Store like Real Macbook. UX31A.zip

pavn
This connector fits to Atheros AR5B195 WiFi WLAN Bluetooth Combo Half Mini PCI-E Card. Would this connector work to make an adapter for Wifi antenna for exchanged Wifi cards? http://www.ebay.com/itm/150946310965?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Now the question is where to find connector which fits Asus Zenbook antenna? pavn
Female u.fl is what I have and I can connect it to replaced WIFI card. Maybe w.fl you mentioned? @pavn I think you can donate the connectors from the original intel card. but I suspect the connector you need is a female w.fl to male u.fl
bajito93
if you want wifi on the zenbook, you need to buy a internal wifi car (AR5B195). You need to mod the wifi card connectors, remove the circles, and when you finished you only have a little film connector on the wifi card, now you can connect the antenna with the wifi card, i suggest put some insulating tape to better hold connectors. Some page ago, you can read some more information.
pavn
Yes, I did the suggested thing with Atheros AR9285 with circles partly removed to simplify the process. I am not completely happy with the process. Unfortunately I think I broke connectors on leads the way I will not be able to connect the Intel Wifi card if needed in the future easily now. I am not completely sure if the antenna connectors are connected optimally. I used hot glue gun to hold the leads on the AR9285 Wifi card. What is the maximum speed you get and how far can you go? I am trying to find out if it antenna leads are connected properly to the Wifi card. Now I am also trying to find out how to resolve issue with iMessage, FaceTime, iCloud to be able to connect there?
