jeffc2009
To latinmcg: thanks latinmcg. How can i patch applertc.kext ? Not present in kexts here in latest 9dec files? To jeffc: thanks! Is it necessary to install Enoch included? Not newer versions? Why no more chimera? Thanks! Install only if u want hdmi audio. I had tried everything from dsdt edits to enabling hdmi audio with bootloaders. The only ones that had recognized was with Enoch latest 2064/2137. After hdmi audio is recognized you can install whatever bootloader you like.
manmal
Yes, it works! Even patching applertc works now. Sleep works... audio through hdmi works, but not on the fly (i mean i have to reboot to let my computer recognize hdmi audio). Thanks!! The only thing missing is sd card now, it seems... manmal
no i have g73sw, same as you. Yes i installed audio/applehda in 9dec package. Another question jeffc...is there a G73SW package from you (like this 9dec one) updated for snow leopard? I need to use snow leopard for some applications and i would love to use this laptop, with latest kexts (like applehda audio, not voodoohda, usb3, etc). Is it possible to use 9dec package in latest snow leopard 64 bit? Or Have you thought to build an "updated" snow leopard package for it? Thanks a lot jeff!! jeffc2009
manmal, I am not sure about snow leopard. Why do you need to run snow?
manmal
i would need to run snow in a separate partition/hd because of some specific applications (rather old and not updated unfortunately) not running well on mountain lion(just on leopard/snow leopard). jeffc2009
I am sorry manual, I never did keep any of my old files. If you go back to the snow thread and ask someone to give you a copy of my last package and upload it here, I might be able to help out.
ellnic
I'm not having much luck with the Dec 9 kexts. Keyboard and Trackpad don't work with the enoch boot loader, and with the kexts I lose Audio, Battery and USB 3.... I still don't get backlit keyboard after sleep or HDMI Audio. :-/ I'll stick with the Nov 21 ones for now EDIT: This might seem like a long shot, but here is my dev list from windows... is this the same as you guys? http://oi46.tinypic.com/2uo3m2o.jpg

PCI List.tiff This package only works on fresh install or you can restore the original kext that's differ from Nov 21/Dec 9 package but i have not tried it. There's like 18 kext's in Nov 29, 9 kext's in Dec. 9. So if you did not backup original kext's after install, i guess you will have to reinstall. There's a 10.8.2 image out there floating around. OS X 10.8.2 Mountain Lion bootable USB for Intel PCs That way you don't have to deal with combo update/or extract kext's you need from it!

The problem is i am not able to correct 10.6.8 applehda with such informations you gave me, unfortunately. Where's AppleHDA from 10.6.8? If I remember right, there should be AppleACPIPlatform and IOPCIFamily Rollback to make these kext's work in 10.6.8 without KP. You got a early package that i was working on before the final package. manmal
here you are...i found this unmodified applehda and ioaudiofamily for 10.6.8 (vanilla, unmodified). manmal
yes of course! i have a partition with a 10.6.8 snow that is "working" (with some problems, with voodoohda actually and some lockups, etc)
ellnic
Speaker Bottom @ 17/23 2-15-23 (still haven't found a solution to this one) Yeah it would be good to get the woofer going... the sound is a bit tinny without it. An update on my progress with the Dec 9 files.... I managed to get the system up and running mostly, that 10.8.2 image was a big help... I noticed that it boots with Clover! No black screen?! I wonder what I am doing wrong... Basically, everything works with Dec 9 but: Backlit (even after sleep) Card Reader (which we expected) And... that damn battery icon!! Idk why it won't appear... I had to remove the battery to get my USB 3 port working too. HDMI Audio works! If I could just get the battery working.. that would be awesome.. then it's just backlit keys for me. Make sure after you install 10.6.3, delete the ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin.kext from IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext plugins folder in S/L/E. Repair disk permission/update cache, restart, install 10.6.8 combo update before restarting use kext wizard to apply your kext's.
