Guyfromorem
I am in the market for a new laptop. I was wondering if anyone has any information on good priced laptops that fully works with fcp/imovie. I am not sure if intel or amd works better or what. I am new to this, so please help me out. Thanks.

A Hamster
i do not second that idea. macs are too costy these days, and they can't run windows.. (cept the new ones) Anywhos, just go check the laptop section @ the wiki.

zedzed
I second that idea Yes the macbook is the superior solution But maybe not everyone can afford a mac and that is why us poor people must look for other options

TomA2
Yeah, no way I would invest any real money in this unless someone manages to get the 10.5 kernel working on these machines. It's crazy to buy a Wintel Laptop with the express purpose of running OSX on it. Now if you really want a Windows machine and want to try OSX on it for kicks, knock yourself out. But in that case, I wouldn't base my decision on a Wintel laptop on whether it will run MacOSX. I use a MacBook Pro. I built this Frankentosh for $400 so that I can have a (Mac or Win) desktop machine kicking around when I need it. And one thing's for certain: The MacBooks are always going to run Windows FAR better than a Wintel is going to run the MacOS.
