jhrfc
Hi all, I've been using nvclock since snow leopard to manage the fan speed of my nvidia graphics card. Does anybody know if there is a build/version of the app/kexts that works with Mountain Lion? Cheers Jon Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/281686-nvclock-under-mountain-lion/ Share on other sites

jhrfc
Just to confirm the versions of mapmemorydriver.kext and the nvclock binary I was using with Lion and Snow Leopard work fine for me in Mountain Lion. TimeWalker75a
Thats weird, I cant seem to load the kext no matter how hard I try setting the right permissions. jhrfc
I found it needed to be in system, not extra. but it always was in lion etc as well. PM me if you want me to send you a link to the kext. TimeWalker75a
Thanks for the heads up! I havent had it in /Extra (nor am I using a bootloader with such a folder) nor was it in S/L/E/. What I used to do previously is kextload from a random folder, just had to set appropriate permissions to the kext prior to doing that. Now it's just not working, even though MSR Rumper kext can in fact be loaded from a random folder anywhere on the drive, which I find odd, hence the reason I assumed that nvclock was no longer compatible with ML.
