Micky1979
Hello everyone, I have a question: as you would understand by a ioreg (can I have one?) that you're running an AMD system?Or, any of you have a list (a complete list), preferably in C Dictionary (id and description ?) of all AMD CPU? I would like the new Pandora was able to recognize a running AMD system.. And can any one of you run this in Terminal: sysctl -n machdep.cpu and report back? this is my output: 13 2147483656 GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3210M CPU @ 2.50GHz 6 58 3 0 9 3219913727 2142954431 641 672139520 1 198313 0 FPU VME DE PSE TSC MSR PAE MCE CX8 APIC SEP MTRR PGE MCA CMOV PAT PSE36 CLFSH DS ACPI MMX FXSR SSE SSE2 SS HTT TM PBE SSE3 PCLMULQDQ DTES64 MON DSCPL VMX EST TM2 SSSE3 CX16 TPR PDCM SSE4.1 SSE4.2 xAPIC POPCNT AES PCID XSAVE OSXSAVE TSCTMR AVX1.0 RDRAND F16C RDWRFSGS SMEP ENFSTRG SYSCALL XD EM64T LAHF RDTSCP TSCI 16 8 18 0 64 64 3 135456 1 1 1 2 1 0 1 1 0 0 7 832 832 0 3 4 48 7 0 3 48 64 8 256 64 64 32 512 36 48 2 4 new-host:~ Micky1979$ thanks Micky

Micky1979
Well, You may not believe this, but I've already found what I am looking for: AuthenticAMD --> 0x41 0x75 0x74 0x68 0x65 0x6E 0x74 0x69 0x63 0x41 0x4D 0x44 Is in your output, and is in the amd_kernel (obviously going to be in each release, stupid me ). With this, Pandora will know if you are running on a AMD System, or if you want install for AMD System! Where can I find a topic for AMD installation here? I need to see if you AMD users have any need in particular after the OT is closed. Micky EDIT thanks so much

Bitcore
Describe the problems why not start Kernel rc3 with your hardware ... you may need to adjust something? Or try to check rc1 or rc2 Some users had to install the system.kext or the content of frameworks from the zip file of Bronya .... or the Hid ... kext driver from 10.9.0.. this must be tested individually. Hey, It was my GPU, i was able to boot with some other kernel, then installed kexts for gpu and now rc3 works fine! Thanks!

AlmirKadric
Sorry for the delay, I ended up getting a few new projects at work and got flooded for a little while there. @AlmirKadric, in VirtualBox no continue , because you should insert driver - AppleIntelPIIXATA.kext. If don't work keyboard , need kext ApplePS2Controller.kext and AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext ! Thanks for this, this worked like a charm I see in my paypal , is account is null , no gifts ... :\ . You've been a massive help, so I want to donate. What is an acceptable amount? i.e. what do you usually get? @AlmirKadric, I fixed for VirtualBox . I see you say this a lot with no file upload. Do you have a live download page or version control for your modifications? If not would you mind it if I set it up for you and gave you a nice process to follow on github? I'm willing to throw in a bit of an extra donation for this. Reason being is that it will connect into my project quite nicely. Since I will be open sourcing it soon on github. (automated installer ISO generation with all patches etc required, virtualbox/vmware support for now)For all those having trouble on virtualbox or VMWare, I have successfully got the installer working on an AMD FX system. Also none of this was done via manual operations, instead I scripted this using bash. I checked the legality of the project and have not crossed any legal lines as I am not distributing OSX. I plan on open sourcing this project on GitHub sometime in the coming week after I clean a few things up.The next step for the project is to enable the customize button during installation similar to what Niresh is doing in his distro's. This will allow us to install bootloader patched kernels etc during installation. If anyone has any idea how this is done, please let me know it will save me a lot of time. It's about time we aggregated all this information together After that I will create automated testing for kernel releases as well this project releases, to ensure the bare basics are always working.(I'm sorry if I missed any other messages directed at me, I had to catch up on reading here so may have missed something)

(I'm sorry if I missed any other messages directed at me, I had to catch up on reading here so may have missed something) thank you, I saw it a different way, it would not be easier to create an iso / dmg bootable, which allows precise customization (kernel / kext) hardware concerned with a well-described method that would allow everyone to make their own distro , the same would greatly help the coders for their travails huge kernel compilation and would target better the real problems traveling indirectly related to the kernel because many people often confuse the issues kernels and Extension kext unsuitable, in my case, I made test cores with a Pentium D, as my successive freezes fail to see the real cause of KP blames the kernel but there was nothing, I realized that corecrypto asked me problem with another kernel quite by chance . make an iso / dmg, but it's still easy to make it bootable, it's another thing I've never managed with the tools OS X Disk Utility. I was well on the preboot but then it did not want, I let the matter drop Annuler les modifications

AlmirKadric
@gils83, and others The project which I was working on will create bootable ISO images using bash scripts. These can then be burned to a CD or used directly. These will be directly usable with VMWare and Virtualbox using Chimera bootloader. It has all the necessities for El Torito booting via ISO and as a result a CD. The plan is to normalize it's dependencies, and provide a more generic boot loader. From this installer you should be able to have a simple guide, simple set of customizations. And also the guide/knowledge on how to change the installer to extend it to your own needs. As an open source project the issue tracker and pull request feature, will allow others to make contributions. (read up on gitflow and github if your not sure how this works). A bit of patience and I will have something ready for this community
