Just wanted to stop by and say Merry Christmas everyone!
I've been following for a while and I'm just blown away by all the development that's been put into AMD machines.

v6 kernel is running great on my machine!

Thanks all.  :)

Strange thing - I just installed Mavericks with the same kexts, flags, bootloader, etc. etc. on another hard drive and nothing works properly :o

When I clone the disk there is everything ok. Just inform you guys, because I can not understand it :D

Only new for 10.9 :)

Try these and eliminate NPCI = xxxxx from o.c.B.p
no white screen on boot
AppleHDA works

I do not DSDT

Bronya,

should I try the patched IOPCIFamily.kext of Netkas?

or must a new IOPCIFamily.kext be patched?

the patched IOPCIFamily.kext is not sufficient to solve the problem :(

PS: viele Leute, viele leute erzählen viel, (das hat nichts mit dir zu tun mein Freund, das ist ein generelles Problem bei AMD) :(

Prova spakk

no Npci=.zip

thanks carlo_67

:w00t: I will immediate test the new driver on my other partition and inform whether AppleHDA works or not. :thumbsup_anim::drool:

Edit:

System boots without  NPCI=0x ... ! Great!!

the boot behavior is slightly different, it remains when booting to prompt the password at: ACPI: System State (S0 S3 S4 S5) (S3), (this is no problem) for about the same time to boot as normal with the IOPCIFamily. :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical:

many thanks carlos_67 for the new patched version. Now I need to test AppHDA. I will report later. :thumbsup_anim: :thumbsup_anim: :thumbsup_anim: :thumbsup_anim: :thumbsup_anim: :thumbsup_anim: :thumbsup_anim: :thumbsup_anim:

Edit:

and this with new drivers without npci=0x...... with AppleHDA.kext (No Sound)

and here is my systeminfo , if someone is in a position looks to modify me the AppleHDA ,

but AppleHDAController is loaded!!

What should I check if I get "OPEMU: invalid" error? Using Sinetek's v6 kernel with 10.9.1 on Athlon II X4.

you do not even harder, read the last 10 pages then you will find out

Actually, I did. More than that, there is my own report about that very kernel on almost the same PC and it worked fine...

I need to check if this isn't a hardware failure, 'cause it's really weird behavior. Just before New Year and Christmas  :(

try kernel by Bronya mach_kernel_beta_rc4_fix or by andy mach_kernel_rc4 for mavericks or last BSA_Kernel with System.kext , by Andy , this kernel is just as good

Edit:

You must to be read the page, some user had had the same problem and he had solved the problem.

I got the same error- problem message with update from 10.9 to 10.9.2  as I've described to solve the problem (see my Post #49 )

in my case, the error was not due to the kernel, but to the drivers kexts, see, for example see here  #49 icon_share.png

If there is no remedy to the problem, then you have to search or ask the devs , but please do so in the correct help page !

Good luck!

Try these and eliminate NPCI = xxxxx from o.c.B.p
no white screen on boot
AppleHDA works

I do not DSDT

Prova spakk

It stops on TSCSyncAMD.kext and then nothing. But ACPI: System State (S0 S3 S4 S5) (S3) - just like mine old Snow Leopard on legacy_kernel :)

I work without TSCSyncAMD. Kext

When I delete TSCSyncAMD.kext then I've got random freezes after 1minute. No matter what application I open, Mavericks freezes and need to restart manually the PC.

But with TSCSync everything works perfects except Restart - v6_kernel.

Try using;

CLOVER: -blacklist

CHHAMELEON: blscklist=yes

Its working for me.

Clover is not working on my motherboard.

Blackist is included in v6_kernel so...but I will try.

Thank you :)

EDIT: -blacklist / blscklist=yes - not helped. Strange results, boot freeze at line "VoodooTSCSyncAMD Synchronized" (Important!! - there is no TSCSyncAMD.kext in Extra or S/L/E).

Because "Use kernel cache"You can try -v -f.

I've tried this to. With -x, -s, -f, cpus=1, every flag :D it's just not working. But it is not a main topic. What is important - it is working perfectly without "no=npci" kexts and with TSCSyncAMD.kext :)

I think that the kernel is made :) Maybe some little fixes, but it is fully functional right now and thanks for that to Bronya, Sinetek, Andy, Shane, Connactic and everybody on this forum :) I am always ready to test any new kernels from ya all :)
