tragediana150
Can somebody post a screenshot with about this Mac active? This is my screens with "about this mac" active RC7_kernel BSA_kernel The "???" after the 6GB of Memory isn't the error of kernel (I think) so it is no improtant. I have no pink icons, because I use Launchpad Refresh.app and I forgot to turn it off But the dirty icon bug is still here. EDIT: CPU Unknown? I need to fix that... But maybe "???" is the bug of kernel, can you fix that?

lpukraine
I revised the kernel some more. Right now I tested it on an AMD E1 APU. The kernel contains both my tsc.c and cpuid.c mods as well as Bronzovka's New boot arguments: -alttsc (Use my procedure to calculate clock frequency, this was needed on the AMD APU) -altcache (Use my old cache determination procedure enhanced with TLB calculation from Bronzovka, was also needed on the APU or KP). -emulateintel (Set Core 2 Duo or Intel Xeon E processor data and copy GenuineIntel in). I also revised the opemu some more (should be faster as it first checks for SSSE3 instruction). No SSE3 emu yet... haven't had the time. It is next on my list... Please test it and let me know... with both -alttsc and -altcache it runs just like my old kernel... but with Bronzovka's genial other fixes @Bronzovka: I compiled up some info of the APU... we should add that to your cache determination and TSC detection. thanks for kernel! seem that boot faster.. aplIIc
@ Andy Here is "About this Mac" Phenom II x4 B50 and machdep: I do get a KP on this kernel, "kernel_bsa", when I run Geekbench3 (not in Geekbench2), can't get an image though, I'll see what I can do. But very happy about the Pink Launchpad gone (for me -5770) Youtube videos on Safari are working well for me, however the QT screen-capture looks garbled: utube.mov

Bronya
Yes , i re-search and i found fails in cupid and tsc for family 12h and 14h , family 12h and 14h don't support address 8000_001D, then should work on amd-apu_e1 . Wait for kernel without flag -altcache and -alttsc...

aplIIc
So maybe the pink launchpad gets because of some kext? Maybe we should try delete some kext and check if still is pink...? hmmm? Could you upload your Extra folder? I don't think that it maybe my Kexts... most of them are for functionality: ALXEthernet -AtherosL1c ether kext AppleATIATA -ATI Sata (this one maybe superfluous) DVD_Apple -AnV's Superdrive kext FakeSMC -fakesmc corecrypto -patched PXHCD -USB 3 Also I have them in S/L/E not in Extra/E but I am attaching none the less: S_L_ExtandExtra.zip Additionally: though I don't get the Pink Launchpad I get Errors on screen capture ( utube.mov 3.39MB 2 downloads) and the icon errors as well as Preview Greenness when saving/copying. These kexts are for functionality only. Just thought that you never had problem with pink icons etc, so maybe you use/don't use some kexts. But thanks a lot man

But thanks a lot man I only had problems from rc5 to rc7 (i.e. pink launchpad)... before and after those Launchpad behaves... I attribute it to being MacPro5,1 along with OEM Radeon 5770. No prob... Its just a guess though..

I was doing tests with all of my Kexts (I also had corecrypto -patched) apparently having all of my kexts in S/L/E it fixes Pink Launchpad... you see I do get it but for half a second then they disappear really fast.... but remove all to E/E they remained pink the whole time (10 mins) Thats how it works for me, maybe test it? @DJPhoenix Careful w/ support stuff guys ?delete the ones you don't need? have you tried removing: -ApplePolicyControl -AppleUpstreamUserClient -AppleTyMCEDrvr ??
Andy Vandijck
Yes , i re-search and i found fails in cupid and tsc for family 12h and 14h , family 12h and 14h don't support address8000_001D, then should work on amd-apu_e1 . Wait for kernel without flag -altcache and -alttsc... Yes we need to fix this.I'll work on this tonight too
