i ran your program in 10.7.5-rc15 and 10.8.3-rc4, both shows the same result

BUT

the output of  sysctl -A hw  in 10.8.3-rc4 does not have any  hw.l3*  line!  (see sysctl here http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/281450-mountain-lion-kernel-testing-on-amd-dont-ask-help-here-use-the-help-topic/page-131?do=findComment&comment=1927422)

while in 10.7.5-rc15 sysctl reports various hw.l3* lines

i also dont have two computers and i will not have another new one because {censored} job and little money

 

yes i tried latest http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_id=126240 works as expected. GOOD WORK BRONYA!!

 

i reproduced the sbcl (maxima) opemu bug and i saw some different values, if someone is interested please ask me to upload a photo of that kernel panic

on my cpu with FX6100

the L1,L2,L3 cache correctly detected

even on the system info, cpu-x, sysctl :thumbsup_anim:

but the one and the only problem is the artifacts :(

with your latest kernel (10.8.3-rc4_fix) :

 

+ system profile reported the L2 cache with an additional info (per Core)

-->  so totally the L2 was detected correctly = 4 x 512 KB  :thumbsup_anim:

 

 

+ system profile could also detect the L3,

-  but unfortunately the L3's value was still incorrect,  6.5 MB  instead of 6 MB  bingungs.gif

bcobco,  i same getting panic from "maxima" . i searching it is problem . it is real hard , invisible mistake.

the good thing about this bug is that maxima and sbcl are open source, someone who knows to read source code maybe can see what those programs are doing, what are causing the kernel panic

Special thanks to gils83 for his patience and my Hackintosh up and running on FX-4100!

 

With latest kernel and Clover flags npci=0x2000 colors=32 GraphicsInjector=Yes my monitor went to sleep mode at boot.

With GraphicsInjector=No it boots fine, except artifacts in the system. Do I have just wait for perfect solution for my ATI Radeon HD7970?

These errors are caused by the last version of Chamelion (r2246), but they influence nothing. When you downgrade to r2181 for example, error messages will disappear. But it change nothing.

So there's no future problems? I am using version r2251 chameleon.

By talking in russian on an english speaking forum, the obvious consequence is that nobody can follow the conversation, except for you both. The outcome is a slow chat, one of the greatest disturbances that could happen in a public forum.
