Advice: Release all the alpha/beta/rc versions of your kexts. If your computer fails, we will provide them happily to you.

I'll post the source for the kext that way others can make mods to it if they like

Very much appreciated.

You mentioned to me that it was based on the BSD source, so was it integrated into the OS X IOKit API yet and just needs "tweaking" or were those changes lost/not done yet?

Ya..... I don't think he is slacking off....... I just don't think he would do that without a reason. I do want to know this though...... He got it working the first time.... Was just pure luck? Or something else?

Any update would be appreciated!!

Also if we keep asking.... he might stop making it.... I doubt it... but still....

So does anybody else have any improvemetns on the dell xps 410 that they would like to share/discuss? It will give this thread some point at least for now!

Hi,

This driver is adream, isn't it?

It doesn't work with Tiger so why with Leopard.

Could someone give me more details so that I feel more confident with this development?

Anyway, I should perahps consider buying a specific ethernet card .....

See U

Im Not Slacking off A Real Real Close Friend To My Brother and other friends just Passed away he was only 18. So I Have been Trying to pay my respects and console my brother its the third friend he had Die in a year. I am Going out of town on the 19th to meet my family in vegas till Jan 2nd

I'm sorry to hear that.

But I am Still Working im sorry i have made you feel like i am Slacking off when that is not that case just hold tight i am leaving in 5 days so i have 5 days to get a beta and the source up on this forum but after that i wont be able to fix any issues till the 2nd

Once the source is up some of us will be able to look at it and possibly provide some constructive help then. It's hard to really say anything now without knowing where you are at with it.

Was that info I PMed you about writing an IO Network driver useful?

P.S. If I was you i would remove that phone number from the post. Not just necessarily because of Insanelymac users but also other Internet spiders looking for emails/phone numbers. (No one really needs to call/text you during the Holidays, people need to learn to be patient. :) )

Sorry for all my near-flaming and sorry to hear that someone passed away. It's great to hear you're still working, I might give you a PayPal donation if I get enough money soon.

It's also nice to hear that you're the owner of a prospective computer company, am I right?

Hey guys, I'm new to mac, but am smart with PC/Linux. How is everyone getting thier audio cards in thier Dell XPS 410's to work? Are they using Taruga's AppleHDA Solution? Also, does anyone have a clue how to get ATI x1650pro 512MB PCIe graphics cards to work with this PC? I've been using PC_EFIv8.0 in Leopard and it's working great! Anyone else having any luck with this version PC_EFI? If you're using a different version, is there a reason you're using it (besides: I just haven't gotten around to it). I just don't fully understand the process of installing drivers in Leopard. I've read a bunch of forums, but all I can find are links to the patches or instructions telling me to just use it. Well, how do you use it?

Any help on the ATI x1650pro and the Sigmatel HDA in Leopard would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

BTW, my Dell is:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 2.67GHz

4GB Ram

2 * 250GB Seagate SATA HD

ATI x1650pro 512MB PCIe Video Card

Using Realtek RTL8139/810x

Philips DVD-R DROM 6316TS

TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-H653A

SigmaTel HDA

All card readers being recognized

Using ToH Leopard RC2

PC_EFIv8.0

Following BigDaddyRob2g's guide for installing Leopard on Dell XPS 410 that he gave Timeshifter and it worked great, only I used the newest versions of every patch. I just can't get the Audio or the Video to work.

BigDaddyRob, you rule!

If someone can dumb down the driver installation process for me regarding the Sigmatel Audio and this ATI x1650pro, I'll make a "dumbed-down" how to guide describing how this dumb-mac user was able to pull off my install. Maybe it will prevent further newbs like me from asking so many questions.

Thanks again!
