Hackintosh2000
I have an Asus CG5290 desktop that has a gimped Rampage II Gene motherboard. It has Realtek RTL8168C ethernet. My hackintosh was doing well until Lion 10.7.2. It could get onto the internt with nothing more than IONetworkingFamily.kext. Upon updating from 10.7.2 to 10.7.4 I lost my internet connection. I got Lnx2Mac's Realtek RTL81xx Driver to load and in the system profile it shows my Realtek LAN interface but I can't get ethernet to show up in the system settings menu. Any ideas? Oddly LAN and ethernet work in Mountain Lion with Lnx2Mac's Realtek RTL81xx Driver. I'm baffled. Maybe while installing and uninstalling kexts I mixed something up. Does anyone have a Lion 10.7.4 IONetworkingFamily.kext I can download in case I have the wrong one.

Hackintosh2000
Try this without Lnx2Mac's kext. Okay, that worked without Lnx2Mac's kext. Why? Where did that come from? Thanks!
snackole
It's the stock kext with the official realtek kext plugin.
