Hi, first of all I want to thank you for your work, it is very easy to understand and follow. However, I'm having problems installing Mavericks. My system specs are, i7-4820k ivy bridge -e processor, px79pro motherboard, gtx770 graphics, 16GB DDR3 rijaws RAM, and 120GB Samsung SSD. I followed your guide to the letter but when I boot I get a few lines of code and then : Pathread ABORTS when kernel primitives misused  Previously I was using Uni--- to install and I used the boot flags -v GraphicsEnabler=No, thats what I did here. Sooooo any ideas? Thanks in advance, Leumas

I posted in a separate forum for this installation guide but I just can't get the bootloader to come up.

I followed all the steps to set it up and when I plug the USB in to install, the screen goes blank. I'm using an HDMI cable to attach my laptop to a monitor because the lcd/lid is detached and the laptop has no internal display.

So after nothing shows up and the monitor is blank, I hit enter and it goes from a blank screen to this error very quickly.

My specs HP DM4 2165DX.

2.20 GHz 2nd generation Intel Core i3-2330M Processor

6GB DDR3 SDRAM (2 DIMM)

Intel HD Graphics 3000

SanDisk Ultra Plus 128 GB SATA 6.0

Is the Chameleon bootloader supposed to turn up and guide me through the install? Shall I post the installation log file [can't make sense of it] in my installation USB? Please help. I've tried in July with multiple kinds of installs and can't get anywhere. And can't even get started on this thing.

Yes this seems to be a nullcpupowermanagement problem.Follow steps carefully related to copying nullcpupowermanagement and FakeSMC. I was also having same problem during installation.

Hi.

I tried everything again and the chameleon bootloader doesn't install.

I posted a photo of my problems with #####, which I'm giving up on I think.

I followed everything to the letter in this guide and I don't get a installer or bootloader when I boot from the USB. It's just a blank screen.

Does it have something to do with my SSD? I can load iAtkos and Niresh but both get stuck though I can at least see a bootloader screen to put commands in.

But right now I'm using everything in this guide and following it to the letter. I can't access the BIOS settings to change anything other than boot order as I mentioned.

I've been stuck for a long time on the first step and would really appreciate help.

Thank you.

Hello, it may not matter too much for Snow Leopard (SL) installations.  But, if someone wants to find the Use LCD font smoothing setting on SL, it is located at System Preferences | Personal | Appearance (near the bottom as with General).  Mavericks has the Appearance choice renamed to General.  I am not sure which OS X version this rename began.  Screen layout wise, both are in the same System Preferences location between SL and Mavericks.

Hello all,

I have a really weird problem with Mavericks 10.9.x and AR5B195 mini-module AR9285 Wifi & AR3011 bluetooth, at boot up, the wifi and bluetooth are on but not active because it can't set to CountryCode US, it can't see any SSIDs at all. Now, when I put it to sleep and wake it up, everything works perfectly, US is set, bluetooth and wifi are active and connected extremely well. It doesn't matter what Chameleon version I use, right now I'm at r2377.

I tried clover and it doesn't have a problem connecting at boot up but it has problem of "still waiting for root device" since my HP Envy4-1117nr has 32GB SSD raid with the hard drive.

Most of the problems I read about wifi with Mavericks are waking up, not boot up, mine is boot up and work perfectly after wakes up.

I had it worked once when I was debugging the installation, but now, it's totally back to failing at boot-up and working after sleep/wake.

If someone has any idea on how to fix this please let me know. It's a little frustrating to have to boot-up, put it to sleep (wait a little long for Mavericks ~30 sec), wakes it up and use wifi and bluetooth.
