catalinz
Hello Arthur! and thx for the info! 1. Regarding the SSDT script i`m confused, the one you give me, says use with TDP=95W and Turbo Ratio=3400, now at this guide, i quoted, says with Multiplier and Turbo Ratio, what`s the difference, wich one to use? Now type in the multiplier and CPU speed that you have recoded and it should look like the following: sudo /Users/Your User Name/Desktop/ssdtPRGen.sh 38 4750 2. U said: if u don't have kp in appleintelcpupowermanagement.kext u don't need to patch it what is Kp or please use the full name, the kext is loaded at kextstat: 15 0 0xffffff7f81a1f000 0x29000 0x29000 com.apple.driver.AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement (196.0.0) <7 6 5 4 3 1> and also:21 0 0xffffff7f81a1a000 0x3000 0x3000 com.apple.driver.AppleIntelCPUPowerManagementClient (196.0.0) <7 6 5 4 3 1> 3. I installed OpenGL Extensions Viewer what do with it or is just a plugin/driver? 4. VoodooHDA or HDAEnabler has more sound settings/options at devices? because the AppleHDA is very simple interface in windows for example i have more options in sound settings. 5. In chameleon.boot.plist is ok to check Kernel and put mach_kernel or should i uncheck? i saw at others but i dont know if this is good for me. artur_pt
hello u have complains about slow , open folders if u have only that 2 options... try one or another.. i don't know any mac with that thing.. hot plug.. what u try to do is copy some mac model... u have a hack not a mac.. so make it simple... and i say before.. this is not a science.. must do test.. and with result .. choose the best option... about the loader.. really don't understand what u are saying.. enoch is a chameleon.. a branch.. so when u install it, overrides the old installation... chameleon wizard is a util to config the loader... with ge=no what is the results ? about my english , i'm portuguese so my native language is portuguese not english... u can complain about my thecnical language.. but that is u job.. reading about hackintosh.. and what must be donne... good hack
catalinz
Hello! Yes regarding the slow browsing in Finder and clicking folders, i tried with enable or disable hotplug of the hdds in bios, same thing, maybe this is the way mac os is. Yes i understand what is enoch after i installed, i also looked at the boot file with text editor and it does have my card but from other brand, so this is why enoch dont see it and freeze at boot. I did GE=No with Enoch and with normal Chameleon they both boot to Desktop, the bdsmeg is the same so with enoch or with Chameleon with GE=No same results. check bellow. But with GE=Yes at least normal Chameleon is seeing the card but report it as Unsupported and with Enoch i get freeze see here the pic http://www.insanelym...64873_thumb.jpg, so maybe the problem is to edit the ati.c of the chameleon bootloader, as i read, others did the same and inserted a line with my card and than compile, what you think? what to do next? to keep Chameleon and at least it list the card as unsuported, or edit ati.c? metaphysician
hey Everybody, i've just finished a build with an Asus P8Z77 V Le Plus board with HD4000 (3570K) and 10.8.2 . i'm nearly there except for a couple of things, chiefly, HD 4000 graphics is still being stubborn. i seem to have the iGPU recognized with 512MB of RAM and GraphicsEnabler is Yes, but it only wants to be at the resolution i set in boot.plist. any other resolution leads to garbled video. i've read a number of experiences here but just not sure how to proceed. i am using a patched DSDT i believe. i can be more detailed, but wasn't sure if this is the right forum for a post, or if i should be putting it somewhere else. thanks in advance, scott

catalinz
hello try to ask to ermaC to insert it in the code... of Enoch... or if u know how to compile chameleon.. u can do it yourself.. good hack Hello Arthur! Thank You, I send now a full info message to Ermac, hope he will help me if not i will try to insert it myself and compile At boot and in bdmesg i get this: Errors encountered while starting up the computer. Pausing 5 seconds... how can i get rid of this and disable pause is very annoying. Do you know if VoodooHDA or HDAEnabler have more sound settings/options at devices? because the AppleHDA that i run is very simple interface in windows for example i have more options in sound settings. Also how can i find out if my HDMI Audio is proper working, i know is related to DSDT to enable it, but first i want to check maybe is already working good. I have a problem with the DvD drvie, only in MacOS i hear often some sounds, like the drive is trying to read or seek on a cd or dvd, after the install also was blinking the led, but now i only hear that sound that is trying to read/access/seek a dvd or cd, i want to change this, could damage my dvd drive this thing, because is very often, dont know why or what is trying to read, because no cd or dvd is in the drive Best! catalinz
Hello, Yes i still have some kind of issue with the video is not recognized well, i speaked with ermac today try to insert it but no luck till now: Using PCI-Root-UID value: 0 Unsupported ATI card! Device ID: [1002:68d8] Subsystem ID: [200b1787] About this mac: Graphics ATI Radeon HD 5000 1024 MB still not 5670 I searched for the error and find the patched framework and replaced it, all fine check shoot, but after i make the video work good, i still keep this patch? Now this will stop the issue with my drive for seeking/reading/blinking led noises very often without any cd/dvd in it? At boot and in bdmesg i get this: Errors encountered while starting up the computer. Pausing 5 seconds... how can i get rid of this and disable pause is very annoying. Also how can i find out if my HDMI Audio is proper working, i know is related to DSDT to enable it or i think i can enable with the Enoch Custom install, but first i want to check maybe is already working good. metaphysician
hey artur-pt! thanks for the link - looks like the inject solved my HD4000 issues - great advice! 2 more remaining issues: still working on enabling basic audio (i don't need HDMI audio) on the board - uses ALC889 driver. just tried HDAEnabler with ID of 889 in Enoch - no luck there. anyone on an Asus Z77 board have a good non DSDT solution? i have a P8Z77-V-LE Plus. Hmm, just checked S/L/E looks like i have no HDAEnabler installed. i'll look into it. EDIT: did try a HDAEnabler for OSx86.net for the ALC889 but nothing happening so far...i did manage this with a DSDT so i'll keep trying. last i need to have USB3.0 ports be compatible with 2.0 drives. it sort of works OK with my USB 1 era audio interface, but my USB2 drive doesn't see it. i downloaded a 3rd party USB3.0 driver from CalDigit. it doesn't cause any errors but it doesn't solve my issue - i want USB2 devices to be pluggable into this. i'm almost certain the USB3.0 on this board uses the Intel 7 chipset. EDIT: I did try ML USB rollback in Pandora. that broke it for USB1 devices and USB 2.0 drives as well. BTW all kexts for these installed with Kext Wizard, and cache repaired afterwards. and one odd request - after installing Enoch and reboot on my test partition i see tony mac icon instead of Apple logo while loading. any reason for this or how to make it go away? EDIT: i fixed this with Legacy Logo option in Enoch. any help vastly appreciated. also maybe one other question - i am just on 10.8.0. is it safe to download 10.8.3, and update? which kexts get overwritten? best, scott
